Found November 08, 2012 on Eagles Eye:
Prior to Monday night's debacle in New Orleans, the Eagles were listed as -2.5 point favorites over the visiting Dallas Cowboys (3-5) for this Sunday...but now the Vegas money is pouring in for the Cowboys, making the Birds a 1-point underdog in their own house. Perfect. In a game which features two teams struggling to score points on offense, and two quarterbacks who each divide their respective fan bases right now, why not increase the level of urgency for the Eagles by labeling them the underdog? Ironically, Jerry Jones has blamed the Cowboys' offensive line as a "significant contributor" to Dallas being a "mediocre offensive team" over the past two seasons. So he went out and spent a ton of money on signing bonuses for free agent guards Mackenzy Bernadeau and Nate Livings, switched right tackle Tyron Smith with left tackle Doug Free, and is still getting "mediocre" results from his offense. So this game could be seen in one w...

Jimmy Johnson rips Jerry Jones for GM comments

Former Dallas Cowboys coach Jimmy Johnson says Cowboys owner Jerry Jones takes way to much credit as being the general manager during the team's Super Bowl years in the 1990s. "That is completely a bunch of crock," said Johnson on the Dan Patrick Show Wednesday. "Jerry started putting all those titles on himself after I left. He didn't call himself general...

VP Stephen Jones on hiring Sean Payton: “That has nothing to do with us”

The Cowboys are struggling and questions are starting to rise about leadership. When a team locks out the owner after the game, things aren’t going well. Jason Garrett couldn’t be more under the gun now and with Sean Payton a free agent at the end of the year, and the fact he recently moved to Texas, has rumors starting. Vice President Stephen Jones, son of Jerry Jones chimed...

Cowboys Need To Figure Things Out On Offense

Contrary to what everyone was saying at the beginning of the season, this is not the Cowboys year to win the Super Bowl. After a massive win against the New York Giants in the first week of the season, the Cowboys took a quick fall and have lost four of their last five games. While their defense has stayed relatively consistent throughout the year, their offense needs to get on track...

IRVING, Texas (AP) -- The Dallas Cowboys will be without running back DeMarco Murray for the fourth consecutive game. Murray (sprained right foot) was listed out for Sunday's game at Philadelphia when the Cowboys released the injury report Friday. Center Phil Costa (ankle) and defensive tackle Sean Lissemore (ankle) will also miss another game. Linebacker Dan Connor was listed...

Jerry Jones sees himself in Dez Bryant

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones says that wide receiver Dez Bryant is doing better at not making so many mistakes off the field.  He also said that Bryant reminds him of himself at his age. “What I see from Dez Bryant is an evolving.  And he is getting better.  He’s– better as a player,” said Jones per the Dallas Morning News.  ” He’s– has– certainly continues...

Cowboys RB Murray still out with foot sprain

Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray will miss his fourth straight game Sunday against the host Philadelphia Eagles because of a sprained left foot, ESPN Dallas reported Friday. Can Eagles O-line protect Vick?

And then there was one. As his team enters the FOX America's Game of the Week against visiting Dallas (4:25 p.m. ET Sunday), left guard Evan Mathis is the lone surviving starter on Philadelphia's offensive line. The injuries that have decimated the unit began in the preseason when four-time All-Pro left tackle Jason Peters wrecked his Achilles tendon. The player to Mathis...

Eagles WR Riley Cooper Hid in the Endzone on a Trick Play That Almost Worked

If not for the fact that it was ruled an illegal forward pass, the trick play Riley Cooper and the Philadelphia Eagles nearly pulled off during their game against the New Orleans Saints on Monday night would have been one of the most unique in NFL history. As you can see from the video below, [...]

Jimmy Johnson says he made the “football decisions” in Dallas, not Jerry Jones

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has made it loud and clear that he’ll never step down as the general manager of his team because it worked during the ’90′s when they won three Super Bowls. Former Cowboys head coach Jimmy Johnson was on The Dan Patrick Show and made it clear that he was the run who made all the “football decisions” when he was in Dallas. “That is completely...

NFL Rumors: Would Jon Gruden Insist Philadelphia Eagles Cut Michael Vick Before Accepting Head Coaching Job?

If the NFL rumors are true, then former Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Oakland Raiders head coach Jon Gruden may have an itch to leave the broadcast booth of Monday Night Football and return to the coaching sidelines. Of course, any time a head coach is rumored to be on the chopping block – especially with a team with tradition or money to spend – Gruden’s name unmistakably comes...

Football Gameplan’s Week 10 Preview Cowboys @ Eagles

Take a look at Football Gameplan’s Week 10 Preview as the Cowboys head into Philly. Who is going to 3-6? Despite what is being said, both coaches Andy Reid and Jason Garrett are fighting for their coaching careers.

Week 10 TE Busts

I’m not getting it done Juan… Busts Brent Celek vs Dal Celek has only 1 TD on the season and has 6 points or less in 7 out of 8 games this season.  He is not trustworthy and the Eagles may use him as blocker more with all in injuries to the offensive line. Jacob Tamme @ Car Tamme hasn’t scored since week 1 and has 3 points or less in 6 out of 8 games this season.  He is a...

Philly Sports World Fantasy week 10 sits/starts game of the week

Last weeks game of the week picking the Dolphins in a close game found me on the short-end of the stick dropping my season record to 5-4. Turning it around and taking the hard route my pick this week, Cowboys 24- Eagles 13. Yes “The Boys” stink and the Eagles, well they are dysfunctional. Start them> Any Cowboy receiver, take your pick as the Eagles defense with their overpaid...
