The 2012 Redskins have already scored more points than any Redskins team in 13 years, which is not something I was expecting to write about the 2012 Redskins. And if you chalk that 1999 season up as some sort of strange Norv Turner fever dream, then the Redskins haven’t scored like this since ‘91, a season which prompted me to buy a Zubaz-billed Super Bowl hat. These Skins are on pace to score 435 points, which would place them fourth all time in franchise history. They have a decent shot to pass that ‘99 team for third place, and they’ll almost certainly finish no lower than fifth. The only two Redskins offenses clearly ahead of them are two of the best in NFL history, and both went to the Super Bowl.
