The Miami Dolphins were on the practice field again Thursday afternoon and the injuries on this team might not be considered serious, but they are certainly starting to add up.  Mike Wallace and Brian Hartline both practiced but were very limited and did mostly individual work.  We learned today that Wallace has been suffering from a groin injury.  Maybe his groin is getting used to being around all of the pretty ladies in Miami??  Sorry, bad joke.  The feeling is that the Dolphins are simply being extra cautious with both receivers. Photo Courtesy of Dolphins.com Randy Starks was wearing a compression sleeve on his leg and was seen limping slightly.  He still participated for parts of practice, so the injury shouldn’t keep him on the sidelines for long.  Jared Odrick, left practice early with a hamstring injury, but again, it’s not considered serious. The players, especially Wallace, want to play in the preseason opener on Sunday night, but I think the coaches will exercise caution.  I think Wallace and Hartline will probably be kept out of the game.  This is the only move the coaches can make really.  What are the starters going to play?  1, maybe 2 series?  It’s just not worth either of them aggravating their injuries for 1 or 2 series.   There are still 4 more preseason games, in which the starters will likely play more. Onto the field - Rookie Will Davis out of Utah State is having a tremendous camp in terms of interceptions.  He picked off Dolphins quarterbacks 3 times on Thursday and got his hands on 8 balls, according to Joe Philbin.  Davis is proving to be a ball hawk, but must get more consistent in coverage.  For as good as he’s been at getting his hands on the ball, he’s also given up his fair share of deep balls.  I’m eager to see this kid continue to develop. -  Ryan Tannehill’s streak of consecutive practices without an interception was snapped on Thursday.  On a tipped pass, Tannehill was picked off by Richard Marshall.  Other than that, he had a relatively solid day without his top 2 wide receivers.   - Richard Marshall, it should be mentioned, was back at the starting cornerback position, opposite of Brent Grimes.  Dmitri Patterson and Will Davis were the 2nd team cornerbacks.  (continued on page 2, CLICK HERE)
