Ravens Football Machine:
This one could have gone either way, as both teams were somewhat equally abused by the replacement refs who rarely had a clue...But the bottom line is: Eagles 24, Ravens 23...Here's guest writer Joe Platania's account:"Joe Flacco and John Harbaugh lived out author Thomas Wolfe's vision Sunday in Philadelphia, and they're none too pleased about it."...
Wolfe coined the phrase "you can't go home again," and the New Jersey-bred Flacco, as well as ex-Philadelphia Eagles assistant Harbaugh, saw themselves and the Ravens lose a tough, physical game at Lincoln Financial Field, 24-23.
The loss is especially vexing considering the Ravens' Week Two road problems during previous years. It is the team's third straight loss in that spot (2-6 lifetime), and it came to a team that committed four turnovers -- nine in two weeks -- and yet has managed to win both games.
It was only the Ravens' second loss in 60 games since 2000 in which they won ...

QUOTH THE RAVEN
The Ravens quarterback has seen enough and following a questionably called game against the Eagles, Joe Flacco said the replacement refs are "affecting the integrity of the game."
They took my handcuffs off Juan…
Joe Flacco tore it up last Monday night. He threw the ball down the field with the greatest of ease. The Ravens have been protecting Flacco for too long and now they have unleashed him. Haven’t we seen this before from Cam Cameron?
I love Flacco’s talent and his weapons. I don’t trust that Cameron will continue to let him run the...
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Baltimore Ravens and quarterback Joe Flacco have now put their contract talks on hold until the offseason.
Baltimore quarterback Joe Flacco and the Ravens were close to finalizing a long-term contract extension the first week of August before talks were tabled, according to league sources.
But they were not just tabled; they essentially were...
Joe Flacco had the ball on target and a Ravens touchdown in Joe Jacoby's grasp.
Flacco's celebration was short lived.
Jacoby was whistled for offensive pass interference and the TD was wiped out. What should have been a 10-point lead turned into a field goal two plays later. The penalty and lost touchdown came back to cost Baltimore in a 24-23 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles...
Joe Flacco didn’t have a banner second half. It cost the Ravens (1-1) the game.
Philadelphia (2-0) drove down the field to score a touchdown with a little less than two minutes to go. Mike Vick led the Eagles to their last score of the game and it was the decisive score.
Flacco struggled to convert third downs and appeared to be a little too pass happy in the Ravens 24-23 loss...
Yes, the Baltimore Ravens and Joe Flacco looked amazing last Monday Night against a division rival and yes the offense probably played the best game you’ve ever seen them play. The defense, while only giving up 13 points did bend a bit to the inside running game. Meanwhile, the Philadelphia Eagles struggled to beat a perennially rebuilding Browns team.
So, why am I telling you...
The turnovers for the Ravens have started up again in the third quarter.
Joe Flacco threw his first interception of the 2012 season while leading the offense to no points in the third quarter.
However, after an Ed Reed interception with seconds remaining in the third quarter, Flacco hit Torrey Smith to put the Ravens in field goal range as the teams go to the fourth quarter.
This touchdown pass from Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco to WR Jacoby Jones gave their team a 14-7 lead over the Philadelphia Eagles midway through the second quarter on Sunday. Jones then proceeded to celebrate by giving the folks in Philly a fine lesson in imaginary juggling. However, it would be the Eagles who got the last laugh in this one as QB Michael Vick scored a touchdown...
This game is a tough one to pick this early in the season. It’s not real clear how either team, the Ravens or Eagles, will be this season.
Baltimore looked dominant Monday night and the Eagles won their game against the Browns, but turned the ball over five times.
For this week, I’m rolling with the home team.
Joe Flacco showed pinpoint accuracy in the Ravens’ 44-13 victory...
The handshake provided no fanfare. The coaches, John Harbaugh and Jim Shwartz, provided pleasantries and exited the field. The general result of San Francisco’s 27-19 win surprised no one. Yet, the dismantling of the Lions staggered a few.The 49ers claimed supremacy of the NFL by wrecking two of the most prolific offenses in the league during consecutive weeks (surprise?). Here’s...
After last year's handshake seen round' the NFL, San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh and Detroit Lions Jim Schwartz decided to bury the hatchet before their Sunday Night Football week two affair.
