You can't count on the Steelers to win all the time now. Ben Roethlisberger? Not the same fantasy friendly QB he used to be. You certainly can't count on the running game for much, and even the defense these days is not as beastly as it once was. However, you can always count on one thing.

Polamalu has been making big hits for years and Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens was no different. There was something that was a little different; not necessarily different in a bad way. Although I guess since it did result in a penalty its hard to call it good.
Good, bad, or indifferent it was pretty darn funny.

Here are a few animated gifs from the Pittsburgh Steelers 19-16 win over the Baltimore Ravens.
Safety Troy Polamalu nearly timed the Ravens game-tying extra point snap perfect as he leapt over the line in a single bound.
Wide receive Derek Moye had a leaping 19 yard catch on third down early in the second quarter that kept the drive allowed. Moye climbs the ladder and his feet taken...
Troy Polamalu has been showing flashes of his old self these past few weeks, and it reprises his former role of best defender in the game when he absolute crushes Ravens wide receiver Tandon Doss coming across the middle.
As is always the case with Polamalu, he took a blow while giving one as well. Kudos to Doss for hanging on as well.
A few more hits like that, and this thing...
Troy Polamalu may have mistimed this field goal block attempt, but we could care less. It provided us with this beautiful moment in which Troy tries his hand at hurdling.

As the season goes on, Dick LeBeau and the Pittsburgh Steelers continue to implement and deploy small-bodied sub-packages as their go-to defense, rather than the base, or even the nickel, as they had six defensive backs on the field nearly 75 percent of the time against the Baltimore Ravens.
Out of 65 total defensive snaps, rookie starting inside linebacker Vince...
In a Monday story by Forbes Magazine, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was listed as the fourth Most-Disliked NFL Player, according to the latest surveys from E-Poll Market Research.
Listed ahead of Roethlisberger are Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick, San Diego Chargers linebacker Manti Te'o and Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh.
PITTSBURGH, PA - Pittsburgh looked to get back into contention in the AFC North this afternoon against struggling defending Super Bowl Champion Baltimore Ravens. Pittsburgh is 5-6 and against defending Super Bowl Champions, including the postseason since 2000. The Steelers snapped a two home game losing streak to Baltimore beating them in the final seconds on Sha...
Did anyone else expect to see Ben Roethlisberger go all Jim Valvano and run across the Heinz Field turf desperately looking for Charlie Batch after Sunday’s game?
Aren’t Batch and Roethlisberger supposed to engage in a minute-long bro hug whenever Shaun Suisham kicks a last-second field goal in a Pittsburgh Steelers’ win over the Baltimore Ravens?
Suisham’s 42-yard field...
The Pittsburgh Steelers will take on the Baltimore Ravens Sunday at Heinz Field and below are my fantasy football stat projections for the black and gold offensive players for this week.
Feel free to add your own projections in the comments below.
Ben Roethlisberger - 34 attempts, 24 completions, 301 yards, 1 touchdowns, 1 interception, 2 rush, 8 yards, 0 touchdowns.
If the run game...
Shaun Suisham’s 42-yard field goal lifted the Pittsburgh Steelers over the Baltimore Ravens for a 19-16 victory on Sunday. “Nice win for us,” coach Mike Tomlin said after the game via the team’s website.. “It took contributions in all three phases and it’s good to get that type of result and under those circumstances. I think it’s something that we can grow from positively...
If you thought Suh was going to be number one then you’re wrong, but he still makes the list. E-Poll Marketing Research just did their own study of the five most disliked players in the National Football league, and here are the results: 1. Mike Vick 2. Manti Te’o 3. Ndamukong Suh 4. Ben Roethlisberger 5. […]
Red zone efficiency has plagued the Pittsburgh Steelers offense all season and in the 19-16 win Sunday over the Baltimore Ravens it remained a problem and something that must be fixed if the team is expecting to continue stacking wins.
Against the Ravens, the Steelers were one of three inside the red zone and for the season they are 6-of-16 (37.5%).
Of the six touchdowns produced...

The Pittsburgh Steelers entered the game knowing that they could not gain any ground on the division-leading Cincinnati Bengals, who won their afternoon game on a long, last-second 54-yard field goal by Mike Nugent. But they are facing the Baltimore Ravens, whom they can match in losses at four with a victory.
The Ravens won the coin toss and deferred. On the first...

Winning cures everything. But the 19-6 victory at the Meadowlands may not have provided enough of the elixir needed to speed the recovery of the sickly Pittsburgh Steelers. Optimistically, however, the win against the Jets was the first sign of health from a team that seemed to be without pulse as it deteriorated 0-4.
There were several positives in the Steelers only...
