Hey everybody and welcome to another edition of Under Center, where I discuss who I believe are the top 5 best quarterbacks in fantasy football for the week! Who will top the list this week and who will see their stock drop? Take a look and find out!   5. Russell Wilson Russell Wilson is red hot right now, having thrown for multiple touchdowns in four straight games. He’s facing off against the Minnesota Vikings, who have given up 21 passing touchdowns this season. That, coupled with the chance that Wilson could have Percy Harvin back at wide receiver , could mean that it could be a mighty fine week for Russell Wilson. 4. Drew Brees Photo Credit: Zimbio.com Although Brees is facing a tough defense this week in the San Francisco 49ers, Brees is simply too good to sit just because he’s facing some tougher opposition. He’s thrown 11 touchdown passes and over 1,100 yards in the last three weeks and only two picks. Brees is in rare form, and even a good defense like San Francisco’s is going to feel his wrath. 3. Cam Newton bleacherreport.net Cam has a very favorable matchup this week on Monday Night football against New England. I think what makes Newton a great threat and a sure start this week is the fact that he’s a dual threat. He can do damage with his arm and with his legs. I think he’s going to do A LOT of damage on the ground against a Patriots defense who’s very poor against the run. They’re ranked 30th in run defense and Cam is going to use his size and speed to keep New England on their toes this week in prime time. 2. Peyton Manning Yes, I know. Peyton is facing the undefeated Chiefs. The Chiefs are a team built on their solid as a rock defense. But at the end of the day, this is what Peyton Manning thrives on. His absolute tear of a season is going to continue as long as his ankle holds up, which I think won’t end up being a problem. Think of this. It’s week 11 and Peyton Manning already has 33 touchdown passes. At this rate, nothing short of a miracle could really slow Peyton down. 1. Nick Foles (Associated Press/Julio Cortez) Who would have guessed a few weeks ago that Nick Foles would be having the kind of season he’s having!?  He’s been a great fit in Chip Kelly’s offense and might have saved Philly’s season in the past few weeks. Thus far this season he’s been efficient, with 16 touchdowns and no interceptions. Some people might have questioned if Foles had a fluke game when he threw seven touchdown passes against Oakland. He threw three more TD’s against Green Bay and still isn’t getting the respect he deserves for playing lights out in the past few weeks. This week against Washington, he looks to prove himself once and for all as a top dog. Heck, this is a Washington team that gave up 34 points to the Minnesota Vikings last week. Foles is looking to carve them up this week and continue on this tear. Honorable Mentions: 1. Robert Griffin, III I think RG3 is improving from week to week after a slow start. I expect a high scoring shootout of a game against Philly. He’s a safe start in my opinion. 2. Matthew Stafford Stafford remains a top start in fantasy because of his consistency and the sheer amount of passes Detroit throws every week. He’s throwing an average of 41 passes a game. With those kinds of attempts, good things are coming. 3. Case Keenum Keenum has looked strong since rising to the first string of the Texans offense. He’s thrown seven touchdowns and no picks since week 7 and this week he’s facing the Raiders, who recently gave up seven touchdown passes to Nick Foles and the Eagles. I’d say Keenum is a good start at QB if you’re in need of a starter, and I’m guessing he’s still available on quite a few waiver wires.
