Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller has some pretty big shoes to fill — and they're not even from his own school.

Miller is only a sophomore, but he is already being compared to head coach Urban Meyer's best collegiate player from Florida — Tim Tebow.

Meyer compared Miller,  his current quarterback, favorably to Tebow — the three-time Heisman finalist — from his days coaching the Florida Gators.

Meyer said Miller actually has "more talent" than the New York Jets backup who won two national championships under Meyer at Florida.

"Very similar guys," Meyer said on his 97.1 The Fan call-in radio show.

"They're both competitive human beings.  They're both very talented people.  Braxton has more talent.  Tim is probably more of a grinder."

Miller is keeping pace with Tebow's sophomore campaign.  The Ohio State QB has 988 combined rushing and passing yards with 12 touchdowns through three games this season and has put himself right in the thick of the Heisman race.  Tebow compiled 1,037 all-around yards with 13 TDs during the same span of his sophomore year.  Ohio State is 3-0 after a win over Cal.

Tebow's winning ways carried over to the NFL where he led the Denver Broncos into the playoffs in his second season.  He was traded  to the Jets in the offseason in a backup role for Mark Sanchez when he's not running the Wildcat offense.

Maybe it's about time Miller started working on his own Tebowing pose.

Sneak peek at Tebow's Vogue photoshoot

Tim Tebow hasnt been playing as much as he would have expected this season, so that of course leads to more time for things like photoshoots. VOGUE has released a behind the scenes look at Tim Tebow’s photoshoot he did for the October edition of the magazine. Ladies, try and contain yourselves as shockingly Tebow is featured shirtless. Shirtless Tim Tebow Inexplicably Makes New York Post Front Page, Labeled 'Holy Roller' (Photo)

So this is what we've gotten to, huh? A backup quarterback making the front page of one of the most well-known newspapers in one of the world's biggest cities -- all because he took his shirt off. Tim Tebow, or "the world's most famous bench-warmer as the New York Post referred to him, made the front page of the tabloid on Friday. The Jets backup quarterback was...

Urban Meyer Says Braxton Miller More Talented Than Tim Tebow

Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller is off to quite the start this season. He’s had an amazing touchdown run in both games this season. In my opinion as long as the Buckeyes keep winning, he’ll be a fixture in the Heisman Trophy race. He’s already my preseason favorite for the award entering next season. His coach knows something about taking quality athletes that...

Coach: Tebow a 'learning experience'

Matt Cavanaugh has worked with lots of quarterbacks over the years. None have been anything like Tim Tebow. ''It's been a learning experience for me,'' the New York Jets quarterbacks coach said Thursday. ''Being around Tim and hearing about some of the other things he's done and what he's capable of doing, it's pretty exciting.'' ...

Tebow a 'learning experience' for Jets QBs coach

New York Jets quarterbacks coach Matt Cavanaugh says having Tim Tebow as the backup has been ''a learning experience'' and predicts a ''successful'' year for starter Mark Sanchez. Cavanaugh, addressing the media Thursday for the first time this season, had no concerns about how Sanchez would handle the arrival of Tebow when the Jets traded for the...

T-T-T-Tebow And The Jets

I feel like I have a pretty strong stomach for the most part.  It takes a lot to make me queasy, but there a couple things that are just too much for me to handle. Jose Cuervo?  Come on, I just ate! Clubbing baby seals?  Just the thought of it makes me sick. Tim Tebow media coverage?  ENOUGH!  I can’t take it!  Please, make it stop!   The crazy thing about the current Tebow...

Eva Longoria talks Sanchez with Chelsea Handler, suggests host should date Tebow

Eva Longoria, the main squeeze of New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez, dropped by for a chat with Chelsea Handler on the host’s show on E!, Chelsea Lately. Invariably, the topic of Longoria’s new beau came up. As she did during a recent appearance on Extra!, Longoria attempted to somewhat downplay discussion of the relationship and sidestep [...]

Ware is Braxton Miller?

Can a player from a school on NCAA postseason probation win the Heisman? Sophomore quarterback Braxton Miller of Ohio State seems like the best bet to join Andre Ware (1989) as the only player to pull that off. Talking to various Heisman voters, no one seems inclined to punish Miller for the past sins of the program. And not going to [...]

Ohio State Football: Braxton Miller emerges as a Heisman favorite in another ugly Buckeyes win

Ask most USC fans, and they’ll tell you that the No. 1 reason Matt Barkley didn’t get an invite to New York last season for the Heisman Trophy ceremony was simply his team was on probation. After all, how could the upstanding voters of such a prestigious award as the Heisman, reward a player whose school had done so much wrong in the eyes of the NCAA? They couldn’t, at least...

The Tim Tebow User's Manual (Attn: Rex Ryan)

Rex Ryan has most certainly heard the rumblings that his job could be on the line this season, so one has to figure that he’s being exceptionally mindful of how his team is run nowadays.Mark Sanchez has definitely heard the rumblings about his job security, even after signing a big extension this past off-season.Then, to ice the cake, the team traded for the most polarizing figure...

Turn On The Jets 12 Pack, Week 3 – Jets vs. Dolphins

How about this weather in New York City? There is nothing like the autumn. It reminds me of getting ready for another breakout 3 catch, 26 yard performance at Muhlenberg as we got ready to whoop up on Union College (sorry Chris Gross). Anyway, The New York Daily News or as we call them around here, TMZ has had a fun week of stirring the quarterback controversy pot and talking about...

College Fantasy Football: Week 4 Rapid Fire Preview

There are a few times each college football season when the fantasy stars align and we get a matchup to die for. Enter Arizona vs. Oregon.RichRod's Wildcats are No. 3 in the country in total offense (604 yards per game). Chip Kelly's Ducks are No. 5 at 596 YPG.Is it too much to ask for these two squads to continue on this torrid pace and rack up 1,200 total yards in this...
