Found April 20, 2013 on Pro Football Zone:
Now that Victor Cruz wasn’t signed to an offer sheet by any of the other 31 NFL teams, the Giants’ wide receiver will have three options going forward.  He can sign his restricted free agent tender, sign a long-term extension, or hold out.According to the New York Daily News, Cruz isn’t expected to stage a lengthy holdout.Theoretically he still could try to force the Giants’ hand with a lengthy holdout, possibly pushing them to trade him, but sources on both sides indicated that would probably not happen. More likely, the 26-year-old Cruz will either soon sign his one-year tender, and play for a $2.879 million salary in 2013, or continue to try to work out a long-term contract with the Giants. No one really knows where the Giants and Cruz are at with their contract negotiations. As the Daily News has reported, Cruz has been offered a contract worth more than $7 million per season (a deal that’s believed to include $15 million to $18 million in guaranteed money) by the Giants. It’s not clear where talks between the team and Cruz’s new agent, Tom Condon, currently stand. If Cruz doesn’t sign his tender by June 17th, the Giants can cut his salary for 2013.If Cruz doesn’t immediately sign his tender or get an extension, the next important deadline for him is June 17. At that point, the Giants are permitted by NFL rules to reduce the amount of his tender to 110% of his 2012 salary — or in his case to the NFL minimum for a three-year vet: $630,000. It seems likely he will make a decision before then.I got the feeling that Cruz will either sign his tender or end up with a long-term extension. Need NFL Tickets? • The Giants have held all the cards since the beginning. As a fan I don't begrudge Cruz for trying to test the waters. But in the end he knows what's in his best interests. Besides, he can make a ton of money playing in New York because of all the media attention and opps for advertising gigs.

The New York Giants didn’t allow Victor Cruz and his representatives to bid against themselves during the offer sheet period of his restricted free agency. 2013 NFL Draft Team Needs: New York Giants

1. Linebacker: The Giants linebacking situation is really awful. They could really use two linebackers from this draft, but will probably have to settle for one. I expect them to address this situation in the first two days of the draft, and as early as round one. Ogletree would be a great fit at 19 overall. 2. Cornerback: Webster has been awful, Thomas is always hurt, and...
