Indianapolis Colts cornerback Vontae Davis is not very smart, there is just no way around it.  Tweeting about your friend and the Kansas City Chiefs potentially tampering is one thing.  Yes, it’s bad, but it’s not nearly as bad as trying to claim that you were hacked after the fact.  ”Hackers” don’t go around on Twitter and get into NFL players accounts to try and get teams in trouble for tampering.  If they did, there would be far more tweets like this. To make things worse for Vontae, enough people were tweeting at Miami Dolphins CB Sean Smith about the incident that he got on Twitter to make a statement. Ok this is getting out of hand, I’ve never talked to any other team besides the Miami Dolphins. Yes I talked to vontae and I told him Al Harris (our former coach) got the job up in KC and that I talked to him a few days ago to tell him congrats. That’s it! Now why he interpreted that as “talking to KC” idk but there is NOTHING going on! This is ridiculous Smart choice by Smith to clear things up and to keep him and the Chiefs out of trouble, but man, does Vontae look dumb.  This is just another good lesson for the concept of think before you tweet. Vontae Davis provides proof KC is tampering, then takes it all back

In a “what exactly were you thinking” moment, Indianapolis Colts corner back Vontae Davis provided proof that the Kansas City Chiefs might be tampering with free agent Sean Smith. A few hours ago, Davis took to Twitter and tweeted that Sean Smith had been talking to the Chiefs. I seen my dude Sean Smith last night he said he talking to KC him & B Flowers will makes a good...

Colts Vontae Davis twitter violates NFL tampering rules? account hacked?

Either Indianapolis Colts cornerback Vontae Davis Twitter account (and it’s a verified account so it’s supposed to be Davis himself tweeting) blatantly violated NFL free agent tampering rules or……………….his claims of being hacked are true and the Vontae Davis Twitter account is now doing damage control with subsequent tweets. At least the former Miami Dolphins and Illinois...

Colts Franchise P Pat McAfee

Mike Garafolo reports that the Colts have franchised punter Pat McAfee. With no obvious candidate for the designation, it makes sense for the Colts to use the tag on a punter as it will cost them a very reasonable $2.97 million for the 2013 season. McAfee put together a very solid season for the Colts and was rated as the No. 3 best punter in the league by Pro Football Focus. A...

Vontae Davis claims he was hacked after tweet that would mean Chiefs are tampering with Sean Smith

Colts cornerback Vontae Davis took to his Twitter account earlier today to inform his followers that he saw former teammate Dolphins cornerback Sean Smith last night and that Smith was talking to Kansas City. That would be all well and good besides the fact that under league rules, Smith can’t talk to another team because he’s under contract with the Dolphins. When something...

Colts Mock Draft 1.0

2013 Colts Mock Draft 1.0 1st RoundXavier Rhodes – Cornerback – Florida StateThe Colts could use a very solid #2 cornerback. Their secondary was lousy for the majority of last season, and that was due to the lack of talent. Cassius Vaughn got the majority of the starts at the #2 cornerback spot and he was just horrible. The Colts need more talent in the secondary. Vontae Davis...
