Tom Brady is being forced to play with three rookie receivers right now, leading him to lean heavily on his most experienced veteran. Julian Edelman, now in his fifth season with the Patriots, is finally having the breakout season many knew he was capable of since his rookie year. The 27-year-old leads the Patriots, and the NFL, with 20 catches (17 less than his career high) in just two games this season, which is 10 more than the next highest (Danny Amendola with 10) on the roster. Edelman’s emergence is no surprise, though, as the Patriots began the season without their five top pass catchers from 2012, including tight end Rob Gronkowski who has yet to return from offseason surgery. Amendola was expected to be the No. 1 option, but a groin injury has slowed him down and even kept him from playing on Thursday night against the Jets. With neither available and the rookie trio unable to make much of an impact, Brady looked Edelman’s way a career-high 18 times against the Jets, connec...

Tom Brady: ‘I’m not Making All the Right Plays’

The Patriots may have won their first two games of the 2013 season, but the most played images of the Pats two victories was Tom Brady’s disappointed gestures, directed at his inexperienced receiving corps.  Brady went on Boston radio Monday to let everyone know all the blame shouldn’t be place on his young receivers. “I’m not making all the right plays, either,” Brady...

Tom Brady addresses the offense's struggles

After only two games this season, it really is difficult to take statistics seriously because of the small portion of games played. Things change quickly in the NFL; teams start off hot then cool down while other teams start awful and then turn things around. So the legitimacy of stats early in the season (especially after only two weeks) is what you choose to make out of it. That...

Will the Patriots continue to lean on their defense?

With the Patriots offense not meshing as well as they would have hoped, it has been the defense that has been a pleasant surprise. Throughout the first couple games of the season, the defense has come through in the clutch and has arguably out-performed the Tom Brady led offense. Granted Brady doesn't have much talent around him, but that is still saying a lot since the defense...

Just a Little Patience

It will take time for the Patriots rookie receivers to develop, but will Tom Brady have enough patience to wait.

Donovan McNabb Is Better Than Tom Brady

A bold proclamation indeed, but true?  I believe so. Now understand, Tom Brady will likely go down as one of top-5 quarterbacks of all-time and is a surefire Hall of Famer. Donovan McNabb is on the outside looking in at Canton. Numbers-wise, Brady currently has over 45,000 yards passing, 337 touchdowns, and is still going strong. McNabb hasn’t compiled nearly that number of yards...

Tom Brady’s head gets put on Miley Cyrus’ body in bizarre new video

I don’t know what possesses people to do these things, but Tom Brady has now gotten the Miley Cyrus Wrecking Ball video treatment.  This video is creepy to say the least. [YouTube]

Last Second Decisions – Overreaction Week

A week is in the books and it’s time to absolutely freak out.  Tom Brady is horrible, time to drop him for Terrelle Pryor! Like a GOP reaction to Obama having his foot on the Oval Office desk, then the subsequent overreaction to the jokes about overreactions, there’s been a lot of drama to overreactions.  Chill out people!  It’d be like a biologist getting all angry because...

Robert Kraft, Tom Brady, Vince Wilfork gather at Jerod Mayo Bowl

Jerod Mayo and most of his teammates gathered Monday night at King's in Dedham for the fourth annual Mayo bowl. In attendance along with Mayo were stars such as Vince Wilfork, Donta' Hightower, Brandon Spikes, Nate Solder, Julian Edelman, Tedy Bruschi and Matt Light. Oh, and also some guys named Robert Kraft and Tom Brady. Jerod Mayo spoke to the media before the event kicked...

Dobson: "I've got to be better."

In April during the NFL draft season Aaron Dobson was known for his amazingly reliable hands at Marshall. Now that is in question after he went 3/9 for 56 yards and a touchdown during the home opening win at Gillette stadium. Dobson said after the game, "that’s definitely not acceptable to drop the ball". "I’m a receiver, so...
