The Patriots have a decision to make with one of their most valuable players during the next two weeks.
Rob Gronkowski has shed his forearm cast and even participated in practice last week. It seems the four-to-six weeks it was expected for him to return from his broken forearm have passed, and he could be set to return in Week 16 — if the team wants him to.
The last two games of the season aren’t entirely meaningless. The Patriots could still receive a first-round bye, but it would take some help. The Broncos would need to lose one game to the Browns or Chiefs — both games are in Denver — and the Texans would have to lose to both the Vikings and Colts. Both situations are unlikely.
If The Patriots still controlled their own destiny for a first-round bye, we’d likely see Gronkowski take the field on Sunday in Jacksonville. But since New England doesn’t, and they could likely beat the Jaguars and Dolphins without their star player, it may be wise to rest him.
The Patriots certainly s...

Patriots Give ‘Gifts From the Gridiron’ to Children From Local Shelters (Video)
During the holiday season, the Patriots are all about giving back, and one of their annual charitable efforts is known as “Gifts From the Gridiron.”
The event takes 50 children from local shelters, pairs them up with Patriots players and gives them $400 to spend at Bass Pro Shops as they see fit. Vince Wilfork was one of the players who participated this year, and he says that...

Photo: Tom Brady ventures out in conehead-shaped winter wear
New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady recently took his son (Benjamin) and dog for a stroll around the block. And because it's cold in the Northeast during wintertime, he needed the warmth of a conehead-looking toboggan as well. But it begs the question, what on Earth is Brady hiding in there?Via The Superficial.
Tom Brady & The New England Patriots Broke A Lot Of Records Last Night
A.B. Not bad on a night where the Pats lost. Still would rather have the W than the stats but still pretty impressive.
Another Sunday night stage awaits in Seattle
The 49ers hung tough late in the game to stun Tom Brady and the New England Patriots on the road and in the rain to clinch a playoff berth when few expected them to win at Foxborough. Now, after a long trip home following their epic 41-34 victory, the Niners must play a second straight game on the Sunday prime-time stage when they visit Seattle trying to clinch a second consecutive NFC West crown.
Character Builder: Patriots Don’t MAIL IT IN Like The Texans In Failed Comeback Vs. Niners
Patriots & TB12 Fought Hard As Theur Comeback Fell Short Vs. Niners.
The New England Patriots dug themselves a HUGE hole versus the 49ers on Sunday trailing 31-3. Unfortunately, their shovel was not big enough as their furious comeback fell just short 41-34.
But their is a SILVER lining to this loss if there is such a thing.
The Patriots DID NOT GIVE UP.
They showed their BRASS...

Well, 900 wins is pretty incredible. What would be more incredible is a clean program with a strong graduation rate. Look at Duke and Coach K; to me Boeheim and Coach K aren’t in the same class. Yes, I’m one of those ******* who believes we do college athletes a disservice. (Sigh) I don’t want to take away everything from...
A Letter to Tom Brady
Dear Tom Brady, Please do not take this letter as anything personal. Your team just demolished a juggernaut Texans squad and you’re about to face a slugfest with the boys from San Francisco later tonight. So before I go any further, I wish you the best of luck; however, no matter if you win … Continue reading »
In The Red Zone – December 18
The Sunday night game in Foxboro was certainly a roller coaster for both teams and their fanbases but it was San Francisco fans who got to enjoy the last ride at the fair when they came away with a 41-34 win over New England at Gillette Stadium.
A few things stand out from loss to the 49ers.
► The weather. It was miserable for both sides and it had a definite effect on...
Vince Wilfork: 'Tonight, we just weren't the Patriots'
New England Patriots defensive tackle Vince Wilfork has been around a little while now, so he's pretty good at putting what happens out on the field into words. Sunday night, following an extremely sloppy performance by the usually disciplined Patriots, Wilfork summed it up best: "... tonight, we just weren't the Patriots." Fair enough. In a 41-34 loss to the San...
Back Down To Earth
If you pay close enough attention you’ll find that, just like the rest of the NFL, the Patriots are comprised of a whole bunch of humans. For all the blowouts and ridiculous stats that make them seem like unstoppable aliens at times, there are games – or halves, in the case of this past Sunday night – where they come back down to Earth. It doesn’t happen very often, which...
