It’s what you’ve worked for all season, but chances are your team enters the fantasy football playoffs looking a lot different than the one you started with. Change isn’t necessarily a bad thing, even at this point in the season. There are still some players out on the waiver wire that can help your team take the jump from playoffs to championship.

Could Impress: Ben Roethlisberger. You have to love the matchup against a Bengals defense without Leon Hall and Big Ben always has a good game against a team he’s already seen. Expect the Steelers offense to be at its best considering it is battling the Bengals not only in the division but in the Wild Card race.

Could Disappoint: Matt Hasselbeck. He’s regressed two straight weeks, failing to top 175 yards in either game. He’s also turned the ball over four times compared to one touchdown. There’s a lot to like about the matchup with the Bills, but it might still be worth checking the waiver wire for an upgrade.

Injury Replacement: Vince Young. He’s taking over for Michael Vick for another week and he looked pretty darn good against the Patriots. The Seahawks are pretty good against the run, but their secondary can be torched and very well will be this Thursday.

Running Backs

Could Impress: Reggie Bush. The Raiders have been torched by the run in the last four games, and Bush has seen plenty of carries over that same span. The Dolphins don’t have much to play for at this point other than validating their lofty free agent signing.

Could Disappoint: Roy Helu. It’s hard to get excited about his stellar game against the Seahawks considering that no Redskins running back has seen consistent work on a week-to-week basis. I’ll believe in Shannahan’s running backs once he does.

Injury Replacement: Donald Brown. He’s gotten at least 14 carries in the last three weeks and is coming off his best game against Carolina. The Colts will likely be playing from behind most of the game Sunday, but if there’s a touchdown to be had, it’s likely Brown’s.
