As we discussed last week, the Rams are almost certainly moving forward with Sam Bradford under center in 2014. But what about the backup quarterback position? The Rams could use one of their bevy of draft picks to select a rookie quarterback, or they could pick up a free agent. Speaking of which, here is the list of the top 10 free agent quarterbacks set to hit the market, as composed by our cover32.com senior editors. As you can see, it’s pretty weak. I don’t necessarily agree with some of the placement of the guys on that list (I think Josh McCown should be no. 1 by a mile, and he’s buried at no. 4), but you’d be hard-pressed to argue that any of these guys are capable of being more than a stopgap starter. Still, if the price is right, the Rams could benefit from having some experience at the quarterback position if Bradford goes down again. What do you think?
