According to KHOU in Houston, a security guard was fired on Wednesday after asking and receiving an autograph from Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson. The women, a security guard at a local Houston hospital, approached Johnson for the autograph for her son. The star receiver signed a sheet of paper, addressing the autograph to the security guard’s son. 15 minutes later the women was called into her superior’s office and fired for what was described has “harassing” Johnson.   • This article is a travesty. The author, supposedly a literary/journalism professional, does not know the difference between "woman" and "women". Note to the author: "Woman" is singular. "Women" is plural. Keep your kids in school, people.
  • Couldn't agree more! What is more tragic, is that the article (and more laughable, the headline) is littered with this mistake. A one time typo is probably bad enough in journalism, but this type of repetition shows that the "author" clearly doesn't understand the difference.
