We’re glad to announce a new feature here today. Friend of the site @rodofdisaster has been posting “Anatomy of a Play” breakdowns at The Browns Board, which are basic attempts to dive deeper into the game of football, learn something about X’s and O’s, and try to appreciate the games within the game by taking a close look at a play from the previous week’s game. We think he does an excellent job with these posts, so we asked him if he’d let us run them here. Thankfully, he agreed. We’ll call the feature “Xs and Os with the Bros,” since you don’t have to be a rocket surgeon or a former NFL player or coach to get something out of taking a closer look at a football play. Rod wants you to know that he’s not claiming to be any kind of expert, but rather just an enthusiastic fan who wants to learn more. If he can teach you something, great.
