Found February 03, 2013 on Stars of Big D:
Final Dallas Stars 0 - Phoenix Coyotes 2 The Stars had another ugly game on the second night of a back-to-back and found themselves on the wrong side of a 2-0 scoreline last night. The game overall was just flat out bad and the Stars continue to be bamboozled by the back-to-backs. The Positives: There were very few positives to take away from this game. The penalty kill was easily the best part of what the Stars did last night. They actually looked like the more aggressive team despite being a man down and had some of their best chances in the game on the PK. Jamie Oleksiak didn't do anything that really stood out, but he played well again for the second straight game. The BigRig had 16 minutes of ice time and led the team with six hits. He just needs to continue to play hockey and he'll get much better in no time. The Meh The line combinations that Gulutzan had for this game confused me. Brenden Morrow was put into the top six...

Bill Meltzer: Star Gazing: B2B Woes Bite Stars Again

More than any other shortcoming last season, the Dallas Stars' horrid performance in the follow-up games of back-to-backs was what eventually cost them a playoff spot. The Stars went 1-11-2 in these games. Excluding shootout goals, the Stars were outscored by a margin of 53-21. For Dallas to have any hope of being a surprise playoff team in the lockout-shortened 2013 season...

Torres returns as Coyotes, Stars go back at it

The Phoenix Coyotes seem to be good for the Dallas Stars' psyche -- and their offense. The Stars look to continue their success against the Pacific Division rivals by sweeping this home-and-home set Saturday night in Phoenix. Dallas (3-4-1) is among the worst offensive teams in the league with 17 goals, but eight have come in two meetings with Phoenix (2-4-2). The Stars opened...

AHL/ECHL Monday mentions, Feb 4

AHL: The performance of the Worcester Sharks recently inspired one of their close observers to tweet this: @210Darryl: I think it's time for some changes for the #WorSharks...this team has way too much talent to be playing this poorly. The Worcester Sharks only played two games last week, due in part to the AHL All Star break.   The first game was Friday in Portland,...
