Anze Kopitar had three assists and the Los Angeles Kings used a three-goal third period to break open a 2-2 tie and down the Anaheim Ducks 5-2. Slava Voynov, Jake Muzzin and Jeff Carter all scored in third to send the Ducks to just their third regulation loss this season (13-3-1). Anaheim goaltender Victor Fasth lost his first start in regulation this season and the Ducks blew a pair of one-goal leads in the second period. Anaheim’s goals came from Saku Koivu and Andrew Cogliano. SPIN: Watch out West, here come the Kings. It looks like the champs are putting it together and could be taking advantage of this big run of home games. I’m warming up more and more to getting them in my lineup and might be considering some trade offers to take advantage of this. The Ducks lost on some bad bounces like a shot hitting the crossbar and dropping down before bouncing into the goal. I’m not worried about the Ducks at all would continue to deploy them at will. Toronto doubled up Philadelphia 4-2 ...

Kings Have Some Signings To Do

from Jon Rosen of LAKingsInsider, As it stands now – and a primary assist to CapGeek on this – the Kings have 49.26 million dollars allotted towards 13 players for the 2013-14 season. Because the salary cap drops to 64.3 million dollars next season – and there’s certainly a chance that will happen – unless players currently under contract for next season are traded...

Anze Kopitar Sneaks Goal Around Back of Jimmy Howard to Push Kings Past Red Wings (Video)

Moves like this haunt goalkeepers. Jimmy Howard was holding his own against the Los Angeles Kings on Wednesday night, with the game knotted at 1-1 late in the third period. When the Kings moved the puck around his end of the ice, Howard slid into perfect positioning in the net, spreading his legs and hunching over, with as good a chance as any to stop a score. But Anze Kopitar was...

Kings beat Ducks to win 4th in a row

LOS ANGELES -- Not so Fasth. The Kings became the first team to smudge the previously unblemished record of Ducks goalie, newcomer Viktor Fasth, who had recorded eight victories in his first eight NHL starts. It may have been only the 17th game of this lockout-shortened season for both teams, but the Kings' 5-2 victory against the Ducks on Monday night at Staples Center had...

Kyle Quincey scores bizarre goal of Jonathan Bernier’s head

They say you should just throw the puck at the net, and this goal by Detroit Red Wings defenseman Kyle Quincey is exactly why.  His shot went of Los Angeles Kings goalie Jonathan Bernier’s glove, bounced straight up in the air, hit off his head/back and bounced it.  Rob Scuderi tried to knock it out of the air but completely whiffed.  Bernier had no idea where the puck was and...

17. Ottawa Senators at Boston Bruins. All Aboard The Wahbulance! All Aboard The Wahbulance!

Man, the Ottawa Senators are the best at impersonating The Walking Dead. Outside of Anze Kopitar's lovely zombie-like exterior, the Senators are in the running for "Oft Injured NHL Team" this season. It's surprising, given how many people they have on the IR right now, that they're playing as well as they are. Since the Erik Karlsson injury at the hands of Matt...
