You never know what you’re going to get when you go to an AHL game.
Maybe you see a scrub who was placed on waivers or sent down, or a rehabilitating top two forward.
Or, maybe, you’ll just witness an act of utter embarrassment by some guy you probably never heard of.
If you’ve never heard of Dane Byers, it’s because he’s played in all of six NHL games in his professional career.
To his credit, however, the 25-year-old is captain of the Springfield Falcons.
But that doesn’t warrant this behaviour a few nights ago:
The incident occurred Saturday night. (Yes, this moved awfully slow on to our site, but it’s still worth the look and ridicule.) The best part is the blurb of Byers “wanting” that pest Trevor Gillies who apparently is stirring up **** even with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, the affiliate to the New York Islanders.

The Story line for the Islanders season continues to be that even when they play well, they cannot pull out a win. That was the case last night when the islanders lost 4-2 to the New York Rangers.

Wild surge past Blue Jackets
I am showing the Blue Jackets game on the standard and HD channels for TW @ 7:00. UC is also supposed to play on FSN at the same time. Does anyone know if there are alternate channels that game will be televised on? I can't find any.
That is exactly what tonight is for the New York Rangers as they take on the New York Islanders in Long Island.
The Blueshirts are riding a 6-game winning streak while the New York Islanders are one of the worst teams in the National Hockey League. With that said, however, it is more than likely that the Islanders will be up for tonight’s tilt in front of their fans.
