Chicago Blackhawks Hockey - The hockey world seems to be buzzing with the possibility that Andrew Ladd could once again find himself a member of the Chicago Blackhawks . Who wouldn’t want to see Ladd back? I for one would love to see him back, but there is always the question of cost. That is where the problem starts, way to steep of a price to bring back this fan favorite. Blackhawks fans have to miss this…. Andrew Ladd Trade Rumors The proposed deal or rumor of a deal has a few pieces that just don’t make sense. The Hawks would acquire Andrew Ladd, Jimmy Lodge and a mid-round draft pick in exchange for Teuvo Teravainen, Bryan Bickell and a first rounder. This trade scenario will not happen. Teuvo may be the second coming of Kane and Stan Bowman along with John McDonough are going to market the crap out of this kid. Also, while Jimmy Lodge’s numbers are decent at a point per game, he was still a third round pick in 2013 number 84 overall playing in the OHL for the Saginaw Spirit. I wouldn’t mind Bickell and a mid rounder for Ladd, but one issue the Hawks then run into is taking on more salary with both Kane and Toews contracts needing extended in the near future. Bickell makes over four million dollars a year and hasn’t produced at all. He’s been completely absent scoring just eight points. Ladd on the other hand is a key piece in the future of the Jets should he choose to stay and resign for the long-term. [Related: The Cost To Keep Toews and Kane] This deal does not make a lot of sense. The Hawks don’t seem to benefit except from a marketing standpoint, with a sort of “getting the band back together” mentality. Teuvo can be the next big thing if the Hawks would just wait and let him develop and trust me, more money will be made with he and Kane together instead of risking the future for Ladd. The Hawks just simply don’t need this trade, they are deep enough, fast enough and good enough to repeat. If I am Bowman, I’m playing the cards that we have been dealt and riding with the team intact, unless of course we can rent Thomas Vanek from the Islanders. ____________ Sources: 1, 2, 3 ____________ The post Andrew Ladd Trade Rumors: Headed Back to Chicago? appeared first on Sports Mockery.
