The Colorado Avalanche battled back last night against the Nashville Predators after falling behind by two goals, but ultimately lost the game and in the process had their six game winning streak snapped. It also appears they may have lost their defenseman Ryan Wilson to an injury. Colorado’s head coach Patrick Roy told reporters afterward that it looked as though Wilson may have hurt his back during the loss to the Nashville Predators in the first period. There could be an update coming sometime from the Avalanche, possibly today. The 26 year old Wilson played a little over five minutes of Wednesday’s game. He did not play another shift after the first period. So far this season, he has four assists in 10 games. After falling behind, the Avs’ tied the game in the third period on Matt Duchene’s 10th goal of the season. But the Predators struck back quickly on a Colin Wilson goal, and eventually won the contest 6-4.
