MADISON, Wis. For the second straight night, Wisconsin's hockey squad fell to Minnesota State by a 4-2 margin Saturday, at the Kohl center.
Wisconsin (1-7-2 overall, 1-5-2 WCHA) saw star junior Michael Mersch tally his eighth goal of the season. The Badgers also got a goal and an assist from defenseman Jake McCabe.
Finally, senior forward Derek Lee collected a pair of assists for the host Badgers.
The visitors from Mankato, Minn., improved to 5-5-2 overall and 3-5-0 in the WCHA with their win.

Men's Hockey: Badgers Doubled Up (Again)
For the second night in a row, the UW men's hockey team fell to Minnesota State-Mankato by a count of 4-2.
The game got off to an all too familiar start as, once again, it was the Mavericks who struck first. This time, it was Matt Leitner who scored for MSU 4:38 into the game.
But, just as the previous night, Wisconsin had a quick answer and tied the game minutes later...
