Blake Wheeler used to be with the Bruins, and he seems to delight in reminding them of that fact whenever the two teams meet.
Wheeler scored two goals, including an empty-netter that clinched the game, as the Winnipeg Jets came back to beat the Bruins 3-1 on Tuesday night. It was Boston’s fifth loss of the year in which they led heading into the third period, and this loss hurts all the more considering it was a chance for the B’s to tie Montreal in the Northeast Divison standings.
Instead, it was Winnipeg making noise in the Southeast, so NESN Nation’s Dan Duquette is awarding Wheeler our “Divisional Downer” player of the game. Who’s yours?

Iâm not going to review the game from yesterday- letâs put it mildly: the effort was not there. However, the loss presents a whole load of other questions, which may help explain some of Coach Claude Noelâs actions/choices...

Pavelec was immediately found guilty of theft as he somehow some way saved a shot in which Patrice Bergeron was aiming at an empty net. Bergeron found himself open just inside the right circle with an empty net. That was until Pavelec’s glove appeared out of thin air.
It’s no mystery that injuries have plagued the Bruins this season. Losing defenseman Adam McQuaid in Tuesday night’s game against the Winnipeg Jets was just another blow to a team struggling to produce on offense and lacking depth in the defense.
Jack Edwards joined NESN Daily to talk about what the loss of McQuaid means for the squad moving forward, and how they can improve...

With the lockout-shortened season winding down and playoff races heating up, the condensed schedule is beginning to take its toll on the Boston Bruins and Winnipeg Jets.
Neither team will be getting much of a break anytime soon, either.
