PLAYERS: Bobby Orr
The NHL lockout looms, and one Bruins hall of famer is worried about how the lockout affects everyone but the players and owners. Bobby Orr told the Globe & Mail that the league has to “accept responsibility and get a deal done.” He’s looking beyond the obvious people who are affected by the lockout and thinking about restaurant and shop owners who aren’t getting the usual business associated with being located near an NHL arena. The league and its players’ association met again on Sunday for just over an hour and didn’t make any progress. They don’t know when the two sides will meet again. Watch the video above to see Orr’s statement on the lockout and to get the latest update from NESN Daily.
