Bruins Will Be Fine with Tuukka Rask in Net for 2013 Season

Bruin's goalie Tim Thomas announced last week that he plans to sit out the 2012-13 NHL season, leaving Tuukka Rask to protect the net. But that isn't anything to worry about. In fact, last season's numbers indicate Rask is more than ready to become the starting netminder. Rask had better numbers than Thomas in the 2011-12 regular season, with a .929 save percentage and...

Ty Anderson: Rasketcase: Uncertainty could mean major payday

If you heard Finnish death metal shortly after the announcement that Boston goaltender Tim Thomas would take the year off in order to spend more time with the three F's of his life, it was probably coming from the balls to the wall party-zone formerly known as Tuukka Rask's offseason home in Finland. And honestly, can you blame him? Finally, after two years of riding the...

Trevor Brown began his UCLA career as a catcher. When he starts his pro baseball career, possibly this month or next, he will do the same. Meantime, the junior from Valencia has played five positions this season, starting games at catcher, third base, second base and first base and also playing right field. He is batting .322 with three home runs and a team-best 50 runs batted...

Of course Tim Thomas is telling the truth

Tim Thomas is stepping away for hockey for a year The biggest topic of conversation in the Boston media the past few days besides the Boston Celtics and their success has been Tim Thomas and his “reasons” for choosing to sit the 2012-13 season out. On Facebook the other day, Tim Thomas took to the social media website to explain that his reasons for stepping away from the Boston...

The Kings are on the verge of their first Stanley Cup in franchise history. If and when they close out the Devils, it will mark the beginning of what should be an interesting offseason. The Bruins have already been in the news of late after Tim Thomas' decision to sit out next season. They have Tuukka Rask ready to assume the team's No. 1 goaltending position, but Thomas...
