BC reader J.D. in Evanston sent word last night that Busted made an appearance on the local news. “Dude, I was watching ABC7 last night and all of a sudden there are the Kaner photos and BC on the sports. Couldn’t believe it.” Well, we were kinda tipped off that ABC-Chicago was going to use the drunken Kane pics. We just didn’t know they’d use them in this context of a charity story.

Long story short, Patrick Sharp was trying to do good at some school and ABC7 wanted to know what he thought of Kaner getting sh*tfaced in Madison a few weeks ago.

Did Sharp deserve this kind of questioning while he’s trying to give back to schools? Probably not. Should ABC7 instead be staking out Kane at the gym where he works out? Makes much more sense.

Patrick Sharp proves to be commendable teammate for Patrick Kane

While Patrick Kane was in Madison, Wis., Patrick Sharp was in Finland. While Kane was partying, Sharp was playing for his country. While Kane is a walking target in the public’s eye, with a knack for luring headaches for the Blackhawks’ front office, Sharp is one of the team’s most disclosed stars, personally. Yet, when asked about Kane’s behavior in Madison...

The Chicago Blackhawks have agreed to terms with defenseman Adam Clendening on a three-year contract. He is the second defenseman drafted in 2011 to sign an entry-level deal with the Blackhawks this week (Klas Dahlbeck). Clendening, 19, was selected in … Continue reading →

He has eight goals, seven assists and 285 penalty minutes in 111 career games over parts of three AHL seasons in Rockford. The 23-year-old Smith has six...

Report: Blackhawks Have Suggested That Patrick Kane Seek Help for Off-Ice Antics

Patrick Kane is an All-Star, a Stanley Cup champion and a reckless party animal. The Blackhawks are pleased with two of those three, and it's pretty obvious which one has drawn the ire of the organization. The team's concern with Kane's off-ice antics, however, may go beyond general manager Stan Bowman's unhappiness. According to Adam Jahns of the Chicago-Sun Times...

Blackhawks concerned about Kane

The Chicago Blackhawks have suggested Patrick Kane seek counseling after the latest alcohol-related incident involving the star center, the Chicago Sun-Times reported Wednesday. Earlier this month, photos surfaced of the 23-year-old partying at Cinco de Mayo celebrations near the University of Wisconsin. Numerous people wrote anonymously to the website Deadspin with details of Kane...

John Jaeckel: Hawks' Problem Is Chemistry, Not Talent

Follow me @jaeckel In his Offseason Game Plan piece on the Blackhawks for tsn.ca, Scott Cullen hits on some really important points, and I suggest all readers here go check it out (then come back). The Blackhawks have a lot of talent. In fact, when you look at how their talent matches up against other playoff teams, it begs the question: why the two consecutive first round playoff outs?...

What Next?

An era has ended not just for the Red Wings but the NHL. There are many great tribute articles out there so I wont add to it, but I would like to say just one thing before I move on. Nick Lidstrom was the greatest player of our generation, not just for his skill, but the person he is. The way he lives life on and off the ice is something the NHL will miss dearly. I fear for the youth...
