Cam Neely may or may not be making an appearance in the upcoming sequel to Dumb and Dumber, but the Bruins president is making his return to the acting game in another fashion. The Hall of Famer, who played a small cameo role in the 1994 classic Dumb and Dumber, is back in front of the camera for an NBC Sports commercial promoting the Thanksgiving Showdown. The spot, which features Neely and former Rangers goalie Mike Richter, will debut Wednesday night on the NBC Sports Network during the Bruins-Penguins game. The commercial is promoting Bruins-Rangers game on Nov. 29, the annual day-after-Thanksgiving matinee game at TD Garden. The commercial also reunited with Bobby Farrelly, one half of the acclaimed Farrelly brothers who directed Dumb and Dumber. See a photo from the commercial shoot below. Patrice Bergeron, Milan Lucic Among 10 Bruins Who Will Grow Mustaches for Movember

It’s not quite a playoff beard, but Bruins fans should get used to seeing a little extra facial hair on the B’s in the coming days. As they have in the past, the Bruins will once again be taking part in Movember. The initiative is set up to raise money for men’s health issues, and it calls on participants to grow mustaches for the entire month of November. All told, 10 Bruins...

Bruins think Loui Eriksson (concussion) is getting better

On Monday, Boston Bruin Loui Eriksson visited his teammates and staff which lead his head coach, Claude Julien to almost be optimistic, this according to CSNNE.com. Julien said, “Every day you guys are going to ask about a concussion, and it is what it is.”  “He’s doing better, I guess. ‘I guess’ is because you never know. The one [piece] of good news is that he did...

Halloween is right around the corner, and a few members of the Boston Bruins got some early trick-or-treating in at the Children’s Hospital of Boston earlier in the week. Matt Bartkowski, Dougie Hamilton and Reilly Smith made the rounds dressed up as a pirate, a baby and Buzz Lightyear, respectively, to bring smiles to the faces of s few young fans. Jarome Iginla fond of short stint with Pens

As far as return engagements that pull at the heartstrings, Jarome Iginla’s trip to Pittsburgh to face the Penguins tomorrow night won’t really compare to the homecoming he’ll receive on Dec. 10 in Calgary, where he played the first 151⁄2 seasons of his NHL career. But the fact of the matter is only five months ago, the Bruins right winger was wearing a different black...

Jarome Iginla is quickly becoming a Bruin

Buffalo's John Scott suspended for 7 games

The NHL has given Buffalo's John Scott a seven-game suspension for his hit to the head of Boston's Loui Eriksson back on October 23rd. The league determined that Scott's hit to Eriksson's head was severe enough to warrant a large punishment even though the forward has no previous history of NHL discipline. Scott has already served three games while waiting for his...

UCLA O-Coordinator Says His Mom And Dog “Are The Only Two People That Like Me Right Now”

UCLA has an extremely talented football team in 2013, but right now, the Bruins have hit a rough patch. UCLA climbed as high as ninth in AP Poll to start the season, but has now suffered back-to-back to losses to very good Stanford and Oregon teams. The major issue in the two losses was the offense — the Bruins only scored 24 points in the two games combined. Offensive coordinator...

Bruins Preparing To Meet The Penguins Tonight

from Joe Haggerty of CSNNE, Boston humbled the mighty Pens last spring, and Zdeno Chara pushed Sidney Crosby around the ice like a bully kicking sand on the 98-pound weakling. Key offensive players like Crosby, Jarome Iginla, Kris Letang and Evgeni Malkin were all bottled up by the Bruins defense, and Pittsburgh had no answer to Boston’s physicality once the puck dropped for...

Pens/Bruins Recap by @pghgirl15222

The Pittsburgh Penguins stared down some of their demons on Wednesday during a 3-2 victory over the Boston Bruins. There were times during the game I wondered if the refs had eyes or knew what a penalty was as both sides got away with a lot of questionable play, but the Pens were able to capitalize on their opportunities and come away with the victory. The truth is for at...

Bruins-Penguins Preview

Since the start of 2012, the Pittsburgh Penguins have won every regular-season game they've played against the Boston Bruins. That surely doesn't bother the Bruins considering they won every game in the Eastern Conference finals. Boston's visit to Pittsburgh on Wednesday night is the rivals' first matchup since that stunning sweep which saw Bruins goalie Tuukka...
