Love ‘Em & Hate ‘em Boxscore | Recap Definitely wouldn’t want to be a Wild fan right now. Their two big off-season acquisitions haven’t changed anything in Minnesota. It’s the same old bland brand of hockey. The Canucks meanwhile are now off to their best start in eight years, so there’s that. Love ‘Em 1. Stellar Schneider It’s been a long time since Cory Schneider was between the pipes for the Vancouver Canucks, but he stole the show with his performance. That Schneider can be so brilliant after so many days off speaks to his talent. He is this good. 2. Shreddin’ Schroeder Jordan Schroeder didn’t get a point in front of friends and family, but his hard work on Mason Raymond‘s goal set the entire thing up. He’s looking like he belongs on the roster full-time and his emergence allows for intriguing line-ups when Ryan Kesler gets back. 3. Suddenly Sedin The Sedins have taken some flack for their slow start, so it was nice to see Daniel open the scoring. The Sedins have looked better with Alex Burrows back on their side, and Zack Kassian isn’t hurting without them, so look for that line to keep rolling out. The Sedins have taken some flack for their slow start Hate ‘Em 1. Krazy Konokpa Zenon Konokpa is a big man, bigger than Dale Weise. That Konokpa had to convince Weise twice to fight spoke about the Wild’s performance in front of their home crowd. Besides, he’s now drawn the ire of every Dutch hockey fan. 2. Chill For everyone using the most recent game to stir the goaltending pot, you should probably stop. The Canucks are in no hurry to solve this issue. On Saturday, they roll into Calgary to face a Flames team with no Miika Kiprusoff. Scary times for Flames fans. Especially with Lack out, for the Canucks to make a move on Luongo simply to get the whole thing over with only for Schneider to go down a week later is the worst-case scenario. Why wouldn’t you wait until you got what you wanted? 3. Aren’t the Wild just irrelevant? I can’t even get excited about beating the Wild anymore. Dany Heatley is a ghost, Parise and Suter are in danger of turning the summer of their lifetimes into a series of ninth place finishes. You have to think Mike Yeo is on the chopping block if he can’t use the shiny new toys to win some games. Thankfully, it seems like the league will roll ahead with its four conference plan next season, meaning Wild games are on the outs. CLICK HERE CHECK OUT THE VANCOUVER CANUCKS CLUBHOUSE TODAY ON NWSB!
