Highlights — Notes One night after being pulled in the first half of the first period, Pekka Rinne went the distance on Friday night. Although he was saddled with the loss, Rinne saved 33 of 35 shots that headed his way and allowed fewer than 3 goals for the first time in his last 4 games. For his efforts, the Colorado media awarded him the second star of the game. Paul Gaustad scored just his 3rd goal as a Nashville Predator in 37 games. Gaustad was also a remarkable 89% in the faceoff circle, winning 16 of 18 draws. Seth Jones led all skaters with 25:46 of ice time. Craig Smith led all skaters with 6 shots on goal. Patric Hornqvist had 5. Kevin Klein’s second period slashing penalty was only his 6th penalty in the last 3 seasons. With the loss, Nashville’s franchise record road losing streak has been extended to 12 games. — Tonight’s Three Stars (voted by Colorado media): P.A.
