It wasn't pretty, but a win is a win.  In this case, the 2-1 victory over the New York Rangers to finish off an eight game road trip also came with the honor of bumping to the top of the NHL standings.  At least for 24 hours.  Frederik Andersen got the nod in net for the Ducks and he is now 4-0-0. “You don’t picture yourself winning four in a row," said Andersen.  "But you want to win every time you go on the ice. It’s just fun playing on a team that’s this good.” 'This good' is a 12-3-1 record, which is pretty darn good considering the power play and penalty kill stats. Unlike the first period sluggishness that plagued them in Buffalo, the Ducks started off well, scoring on two of their first five shots on goal. Corey Perry got the Ducks on the board at 2:29 and Kyle Palmieri, who is from New York, had the game winner at 9:09.  Brad Richards made a heinous turnover and Palmieri made the Rangers pay.  However, the Ducks could not get anything else behind Henrik Lundqvist and still managed to hang on for the win. The Rangers found themselves stymied yet again by Anaheim, who shut them out 6-0 on October 10 at the Honda Center.  This time it was Andersen who refused to yield until the 25th shot on net late in the second period.  Michael Del Zotto took advantage of a juicy rebound and lifted it over the sprawled netminder who had no chance of making that save. Late power plays for New York still yielded nothing else from Andersen and somehow the 2-1 score stood up. "We dug deep for this one," Perry said of the win.  "Last one on  a road trip is always the toughest one, and we earned it.  We're ready to get home." The Ducks return home with a 5-2-1 record on their longest trip of the year.   They are now at home for three games before heading back out on the road again.  In other notes: Luca Sbisa made his season debut after missing the past six weeks with an ankle sprain suffered in the pre-season.   He had an assist on Perry's goal.
