Maybe the Los Angeles Kings can put a picture of it on the side of a milk carton, or post signs around Staples Center. The puck from the Kings' Stanley Cup Finals championship has not been seen since Game 6 of that series against the New Jersey Devils on June 11. It was last seen in the glove of Patrik Elias, but the Devils winger tells NJ.com that he doesn't have it. "I have no idea where it is," Elias said. "I grabbed it when the whistle blew. I had it in front of me and I picked it up with my stick. I went over to Marty (Brodeur) and then I sat on the bench and I think I left it there." It's pretty clear why the Kings want that puck back. This was their first Stanley Cup in the 45-year history of the franchise. It should be displayed somewhere for all to see. If only they could figure out where it is. "This is a big deal," Luc Robitaille, the Kings' president of business operations, told the Los Angeles Times. "We've got to get that puck back." Elias said he did not toss it in the crowd and he did not give it to Brodeur. "I understand it's a meaningful thing for them," he said. "For me? No. Why would I want to keep a losing Stanley Cup puck?" The NHL said it will only investigate if the Kings ask. Elias did say he will look again in his equipment bag and locker. "I cleared out my locker and I don't have it," Elias said. "I'll check my locker again tomorrow. I'm trying to remember what happened to it. I really don't have it." Read more
