Following Thursday’s 5-2 loss at the hands of the Phoenix Coyotes, the Predators came out with a lot of energy in front of a sold-out Bridgestone Arena on Saturday. A well-played 40 minutes, though, were overshadowed by a frustrating third period that resulted in a 3-2 shootout loss to the New Jersey Devils.“I don’t know if we took our foot off the pedal or not,” said Colin Wilson, who scored the first goal of the game at 12:22 of the opening frame. “(New Jersey) had some good plays. Looking forward we have to be better than that and play a full 60 minutes.”Wilson mentioned that the team’s mindset going into the game was to get off to a quick start.“It’s going to deflate our team and you start doubting a little bit if they get a couple quick goals. It was good to go out and get two goals in the first and energize our team.”The scoring kicked off when Wilson re-directed a pass from Sergei Kostitsyn, which was the team’s fourth power play tally of the season.
