Found March 08, 2013 on The 6th Sens:
Craig Custance revealed his rankings for ESPN Insider (behind a paywall) for the top 20 potential rental players for this year’s NHL Trade Deadline. He prefaced the rankings list by acknowledging that the congested NHL standings means a greater likelihood that there will be less trade activity this season. From an Ottawa Senators perspective, two players made the cut – Daniel Alfredsson and Sergei Gonchar. Alfredsson was the second-highest ranked player on the list trailing only Corey Perry. Custance rated him more highly than notable players like David Clarkson, Jarome Iginla, Mike Ribeiro, Mike Smith and Jaromir Jagr. On Alfredsson, Custance wrote: First of all, at this point there aren't many people who think Alfredsson is going to get traded. The Senators would have to fall out of contention and Paul MacLean has Ottawa competing at a high level nearly every single night. "He's not going anywhere," said an NHL source. Complicating it ...

David Dziurzynski Gets Rough Welcome to the NHL

Welcome to the game rookie. The Ottawa Senators rookie David Dziurzynski finally got his chance to fight Wednesday night when he dropped his gloves against Toronto Maple Leafs enforcer Frazer McLaren. What Good Are Staged Fights?

Pierre LeBrun of ESPN on the fight last night between David Dziurzynski and Frazer McLaren, The sight of Ottawa Senators forward Dave Dziurzynski lying on the ice, knocked out, after a getting pounded into submission by Toronto Maple Leafs heavyweight Frazer McLaren sickened me to no end. Oh, wait, no one ever gets hurt in a hockey fight, right? What a crock. read...

Kluzak thinks either player could help the Bruins on the power play...

Goal breakdown: Senators at Rangers

The Senators played the Rangers tough, as per usual. After the Sens opened up a 2-0 lead, the Rangers showed their grittiness and their willingness to fight back as they tied the game before the first period ended. But in the end, the Sens showed why they are still a playoff team despite being without three of their top players.  On to the goals: Lady luck is mean sometimes. Senators...
