OPPONENT: Los Angeles Kings 2010-2011 Leading Scorer: Anze Kopitar (25-48-73) 2010-2011 Goaltending Leader: Jonathan Quick (2.24 GAA, .920 SV%) RANGERS LINES: Brandon Dubinsky-Brad Richards-Marian Gaborik
Ruslan Fedotenko-Artem Anisimov-Ryan Callahan
Wojtek Wolski-Derek Stepan-Mats Zuccarello
Mike Rupp-Brian Boyle-Brandon Prust Ryan McDonagh-Dan Girardi
Michael Del Zotto-Mike Sauer
Tim Erixon-Steve Eminger Henrik Lundqvist
Martin Biron SCRATCHES: Marc Staal (concussion symptoms), Jeff Woywitka (healthy), Brendan Bell (healthy) STATE OF THE RANGERS: We have waited about six months to say it, but Rangers hockey is finally back.  The Rangers forward lines look strong, their goaltending is undeniable, and their defense has a lot of promise. Missing Marc Staal hurts, but hopefully the others can pick up the slack against a dangerous LA Kings team, that added Mike Richards in the offseason.  This is the first of two games in Sweden before the Rangers come back to North America for what seems like 20 road games before returning to MSG. Hockey is back folks. CRAZY THOUGHT: Lundqvist makes 40 saves. OPPONENT’S BLOG: LA Kings Insider PREDICTION: Rangers 4, Kings 1 Today’s game is on at 1pm on MSG and Versus.  It will be on either AM1050 or AM970 on the radio.  Streams are available here and here.
