Evander Kane, one of the Winnipeg Jets top players was a question mark to play up until game time last night against the Stars of Dallas. The thought was he could or could not play. Said Jets head coach Claude Noel, as per NHL.com, “Yeah, it was just maintenance. Game-time situation, we’ll see how he’s doing.” Kane, who is tied for the team lead in points, has eight in 11 games so far in this young season. He did not partake in the teams morning skate however, leading to more speculation as to whether he would play or not. As of last night, the Jets have a record of 4-5-2 and they are two points up on the Dallas Stars at the bottom of the Central Division. Kane, who was not only inserted into the lineup, he also scored a goal. The game was won in a shootout by the Jets when Andrew Ladd scored the only shootout goal.
