Sports Injury Alert:
Evander Kane, one of the Winnipeg Jets top players was a question mark to play up until game time last night against the Stars of Dallas. The thought was he could or could not play.
Said Jets head coach Claude Noel, as per NHL.com, “Yeah, it was just maintenance. Game-time situation, we’ll see how he’s doing.” Kane, who is tied for the team lead in points, has eight in 11 games so far in this young season. He did not partake in the teams morning skate however, leading to more speculation as to whether he would play or not.
As of last night, the Jets have a record of 4-5-2 and they are two points up on the Dallas Stars at the bottom of the Central Division. Kane, who was not only inserted into the lineup, he also scored a goal. The game was won in a shootout by the Jets when Andrew Ladd scored the only shootout goal.

According to NHL rumor guru Eklund, the Philadelphia Flyers are heavily pursuing Dustin Byfuglien of the Winnipeg Jets. Byfuglien has battled some weight and focus issues, but seems to have put all that in the past this year. He’s been outstanding for the Jets from the blue line, and is among the NHL’s top offensive-defensemen. Which is why it’s odd that the Flyers would be...

In the 11th game of the season, the Avalanche finally had to face an uphill battle entering the third period. The Avs, who had either led or were tied after two periods in their previous 10 games, trailed the visiting Winnipeg Jets after 40 minutes Sunday night and were hoping to take advantage of the Jets' shootout victory in Dallas the previous night.
The Winnipeg Jets may be going into battle tonight against the Dallas Stars minus one of their deadliest weapons.
Left winger Evander Kane, tied for the team scoring lead with Bryan Little, did not participate in Saturday morning’s game-day skate at American Airlines Center and – according to head coach Claude Noel – will be a game-time decision for tonight’s matchup with...

The Hawks added two goals to that lead in the second with goals from Stephen Buco (1) and Josh Holmstrom (1); the ladder of which...
