If DET (45-25-5) have any realistic aspirations of securing the 4th seed in the Western Conference, then sweeping the home and home with the BJ’s, starting tonight at the Joe, is imperative.  The Central Division standings today show the Wings trailing NSH by only 1 point, but by two regulation/overtime wins (NSH annihilated the ‘Hawks in Chicago last night, 6-1).  The Wings showed a lot of intestinal fortitude in their 5-4 win over Carolina, but the PK continues to be an embarrassment (0-2 on the PK, at new lows of ineptitude, 79.6% on the season). But they did win, and snapped a 6 game losing streak. There is absolutely no reason, other than Jobu, the Wings shouldn’t dominate play against the BJ; who have dropped six of their last eight. CBJ are last in the league in points, they trail MTL and EDM by a whopping 16.  The BJ’s score only 2.28 G/G (28), and surrender 3.17 GA/G (29); and their special teams are, if you can imagine, worse than the Wings (15.1 PP% (25), 76.4 PK% (30)...
