Ryan Miller's stick may have just got the Buffalo Sabres two points in the NHL standings today. Two minutes left in the third period, in a tie game, Miller made a diving stick save on Grabovski, who was alone in front of the net. The save to forced overtime, and the Sabres won it in a shootout. Still not my favourite Ryan Miller save of all-time though.

Per the Canadian Press's Stephen Whyno, Buffalo Sabres prospect Mikhail Grigorenko cannot play in the AHL this season, and he wasn't keen returning to the QMJHL's Quebec Remparts...but he's changed his mind:
Grigorenko tells #Sabres he will report to QMJHL's Quebec Remparts, team says.

The following has just been posted by Mikhail Grigorenko on his Facebook page. We have previously confirmed this is, in fact, his page.
I just want to apologized (sic) for the situation going on right now.
We just need to find a place for me where i can develop and be the best hockey player I can be.
I came to North America 3 years ago coming...
At what point during a players development do you know it isn't going right? We'd say, right around the time a player starts writing posts on Facebook about it.
The Sabres and the development of Mikhail Grigorenko took a massive step backwards after Grigorenko refused to go back to his junior team for the second straight year. But that wasn't it. Grigorenko...
With the Sochi Olympics only a month away, and the bitterness of a silver medal in 2010 still burning on their chest, the players named to the USA hockey team are starting to heat up at the right time. Here is some video evidence featuring Ryan Miller and Patrick Kane from yesterday. Ryan Miller of the Buffalo Sabres is the odds-on favorite to be the starting goaltender for the...
The Children’s Wish of Canada recipient 12-year-old Braden Nienaber was able to skate with the Washington Capitals and then dropped a ceremonial puck for the Washington Capitals-Buffalo Sabres game. Nienaber even threw Sabres captain Steve Ott out of the circle, much to the delight of the fans. Definitely a cool experience for Nienaber and his family.
The post Children’s...
The Buffalo Sabres have hired Tim Murray as their new General Manager and Craig Patrick as special assistant and advisor to the hockey department.
They will work with President of Hockey Operations Pat Lafontaine to rebuild the Sabres. It is looking more and more like Ted Nolan will lose the interim tag and become the Sabres full-time bench boss. The new hockey department is complete...
Poor Mikhail Grabovski. First, his own team repeatedly fails at spelling his last name correctly….now Ryan Miller is stealing easy goals from the Russian forward with no absolutely remorse.
Check out the sweet stick save Miller made during Sunday’s Sabres-Capitals game in Washington. Just absurd. Let’s hope Miller saves some of that magic for Sochi next month.
While you were making dinner Sunday night (I was in the midst of an incredible stir fry), Sabres goalie Ryan Miller was busy robbing Capitals sniper Mikhail Grabovski with an incredible stick save.
Sabres’ play-by-play man Rick Jeanneret was left dumbfounded and speechless.
Earlier this week the Buffalo Sabres hired former Ottawa Senators AGM Tim Murray to be their new GM. Since Murray was announced as the new GM, there has been speculation that he will be hiring an assistant general manager. One name that is front and center is Craig Oster, who is not presently employed by an NHL club.
Ottawa Sun's Bruce Garrioch offers this:
The talk is...
Tim Murray was appointed as the general manager of the NHL’s Buffalo Sabres on January 9. Murray was formerly the assistant general manager of the Ottawa Senators and is the nephew of Bryan Murray, the Senators GM. Murray said his uncle asked him if he was interested in the Sabres job and that he jumped at the chance to help the struggling team rebuild. At the time of the...
After Mondayâs practice, Sabres head coach Ted Nolan was asked to address the Mikhail Grigorenko situation.
âWe canât control what people do and what they say, but we can certainly control how weâre going to run this organization and what we feel is necessary for the development of young players.â
Grigorenko is not age-appropriate for the American Hockey League...
The Mikhail Grigorenko saga made its way on to CBC's Hotstove Tonight on Saturday night.
Elliotte Friedman is bang on in his assessment that Grigo wants to stay and play in the NHL rather than try his hand playing hockey abroad in Finland, Switzerland or his mother Russia.
Grigo and his mother left Russia three years ago to pursue the NHL dream. Grigo has already...
Former Senators Assistant General Manager Tim Murray made an appearance on Buffalo’s WGR 550 Friday where he was queried on pertinent issues facing the Buffalo Sabres and his philosophical beliefs on how his team should be managed moving forward.
To be expected, most of the interview focused on what the Sabres should or will do, but he did touch upon a few Senators-related...
With a desperate wave of his stick, Ryan Miller somehow kept a point-blank shot out of the net, saving the Buffalo Sabres from matching the longest road losing streak in franchise history.
Miller reached right to deflect Mikhail Grabovski's attempt with just over 2 minutes remaining in regulation, and then made two more saves in the shootout Sunday to give the Sabres a 2-1 win...
On Thursday former Senators Assistant General Manager Tim Murray was introduced as the new General Manager of the Buffalo Sabres.
Bruce Garrioch is reporting it’s a five-year commitment from the Sabres.
I don't have this confirmed but the talk in NHL circles is Tim Murray got a five-year deal from the Sabres. BUF doesn't release terms.
