PLAYERS: Jaromir Jagr
TEAMS: Boston Bruins
One of the lasting images that will be associated with Jaromir Jagr will be the hockey legend’s hair. Jagr broke into the league more than 20 years, when style was much different than it is now. Jagr’s long-flowing mullet became a staple for a player who evolved into a larger-than-life figure who is one of the best players of all time. It also makes for some awesome photos. Jagr’s career longevity along with the fact that he’s playing in the Stanley Cup Final for the first time in more than 20 years, made him a popular figure at Tuesday’s media day. Just about everything Jagr was discussed, including the evolution of his hair. “Well, you know,” Jagr said with a smile, “when I had the long hair, I wouldn’t say it was a style, but I wasn’t the only one who had it.  There was a lot of guys, maybe not that long, but a lot of guys wearing long hair, so … now it’s a different style. But it’s going to come back.  Everything is just coming back. Ten years later, you’ll see a lot of guys

The biggest hit from Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals was an accident. Milan Lucic skated across the blue line, completely unaware that Jaromir Jagr was about to cut and head his direction. The two Bruins had a huge collision which sent both men sprawling. To make matters worse, Chicago's Brandon Saad was unable to avoid the traffic jam and ran into the back of Lucic. The result...

Jaromir Jagr Plays A Firefighter In Czech Lottery Commercial

A.B. The title of this post is literally the weirdest sentence I have ever written. But I can’t say I’m surprised that THE JAGR was willing to do cheesy European advertisements. First, we all know the legend of Jagr as a ladies man. Being surrounded by young models is nothing new to the 41-year old, so why not get paid for it? Secondly, when you have an alleged gambling problem...

John Jaeckel: Further Breakdown on Boston-Chicago

Follow me @jaeckel I did a little bit more poking around in the statistics of these playoffs and found something kind of telling about the Boston-Chicago matchup. And it’s something that points to an edge for Chicago. The Bruins have gotten nearly 40% of their offensive production from one line—19 out of 50 total goals from David Krejci, Nathan Horton and Milan...

2013 Stanley Cup Finals: Lucic's second goals against the Blackhawks

Boston Bruins forward, Milan Lucic scored his second goal of the game, his fifth goal of the Stanley Cup Finals, to push the Boston Bruins to a 2-0 Lead. That 2-0 lead was short lived as the Chicago Blackhawks would get a goal from Bradon Saad at the 03:08 mark of the second period. Bruins' top line of...

Bruins-Blackhawks: The Chicago Tribune’s Steve Rosenbloom Says Tuukka Rask “Is Not That Good” (VIDEO)

Well, there is the first shot across the bow from the Chicago media. Steve Rosenbloom of the Chicago Tribune says that Tuukka Rask is not that good. Ok, let me get this straight. Tuukka is 12-4 and just led the Bruins to the Stanley Cup Final. He has a 1.75 GAA which is second only to Blackhawks’ goalie Corey Crawford (who played one more game). Rask has the BEST save percentage...

Blackhawks Respect, Aware of Bruins’ Ability Despite Any Potential Unfamiliarity With B’s

The Bruins and Blackhawks haven’t played each other since Oct. 15, 2011, but that doesn’t mean the Hawks aren’t aware of what the Bruins are capable of doing. The last time these two teams met was just five months to the date that the Bruins won the 2011 Stanley Cup, and when they finally meet again it will be for the 2013 Stanley Cup. So it goes without saying that the Blackhawks...
