Pens have a back-to-back this weekend, and they're fortunate enough to have one of those games at home. Zatkoff has probably been eating flies and talking to himself in the corner since the Florida game, so it would be nice to give him a home start to get him a little more comfortable. Are we short-changing the Islanders? Nope. We're never gonna do that again after what we saw in the playoff last year. But there's no way Fleury doesn't start in Toronto under the lights on Saturday.
Then again, maybe the Pens are gonna ride Fleury hard until Vokoun returns, if he returns. If we were the head coach instead of farting on a keyboard, we'd be starting Zatkoff tomorrow night.
BEST OF MAXIM
New York Islanders (3-3-3) @ Pittsburgh Penguins (7-2-0)
Root Sports, MSG Plus, RDS2 - 7:00 pm/et
Consol Energy Center - Pittsburgh, PA
The Pens hit the ten game mark in a battle against the team that gave them everything they could handle in last year's playoffs. Jeff Zatkoff gets his second start of the season tonight. Also, Kris Letang is back!
Guy's reaction behind the net says it all...
Josh Bailey capped a furious ending for the Islanders, who were trailing one minute, and then winning the next. What a disaster for Jeff Zatkoff, who played an OK game, only to give up two goals late.
Pens have to turn around and play the Leafs tomorrow in Toronto.
Undaunted from last night, we play over/under again tonight.
2 UNIT = New York Islanders @ Pittsburgh Penguins - OVER 5.5 GOALS (-125)
(Note: I am risking 2.00 units to win 1.60)
The 3-3-3 Islanders will head to Pittsburgh to take on the 7-2 Penguins. New York has lost 5 of their last 6 games, but they've been scoring goals. New York has 3 or more goals in 4 straight...
