Bruins forward Jaromir Jagr last played in the Stanley Cup Final in 1992, and 21 years later, he’s back playing for the third Cup in his Hall of Fame career. In between Final appearances, Jagr dazzled while playing hockey across the world, picking up plenty of fans along the way. One of those fans was a young Jonathan Toews. The Chicago Blackhawks captain admitted at Tuesday’s Stanley Cup Final media day that he, like just about every other hockey player growing up in the last 10-20 years, was a fan of Jagr. Now, Toews is going up against Jagr with the game’s greatest prize on the line. “It’s pretty amazing,” Toews said Tuesday. “He was probably one of my favorite players when I was a kid. I think I wore No. 68 when I was playing summer hockey a couple of seasons, I guess. I had his Koho Jagr stick, so I really looked up to him when I was a young kid. I was probably 9 or 10 at that age and here I am getting a chance to play against him in the Stanley Cup Final. That’s pretty amazing...

Jaromir Jagr dyes already-unique playoff beard, now rocking jet-black look (photo)

It has been 21 long years since Jaromir Jag last hoisted Lord Stanley’s Cup. You have to go all the way back to 1991 and 1992 when Jagr was just a young pup on a Pittsburgh Penguins team that won two Stanley Cups in a row. But now, after being traded to the Boston Bruins [...]The post Jaromir Jagr dyes already-unique playoff beard, now rocking jet-black look (photo) appeared first...

Jaromir Jagr Plays A Firefighter In Czech Lottery Commercial

A.B. The title of this post is literally the weirdest sentence I have ever written. But I can’t say I’m surprised that THE JAGR was willing to do cheesy European advertisements. First, we all know the legend of Jagr as a ladies man. Being surrounded by young models is nothing new to the 41-year old, so why not get paid for it? Secondly, when you have an alleged gambling problem...

Jaromir Jagr Predicts Mullet, Long Hairstyle Isn’t Dead, Says It Will Return at Some Point

One of the lasting images that will be associated with Jaromir Jagr will be the hockey legend’s hair. Jagr broke into the league more than 20 years, when style was much different than it is now. Jagr’s long-flowing mullet became a staple for a player who evolved into a larger-than-life figure who is one of the best players of all time. It also makes for some awesome photos. Jagr’s...

Jaromir Jagr’s Wolverine Playoff Beard with Moustache

Boston Bruins forward Jaromir Jagr has grown one of the most epic playoff beards of the playoffs.  Jagr seems to be channeling his inner Wolverine, but added a moustache in with the mutton chops.  Nothing says ready for the Stanley Cup Finals like rocking this beard. [Boston Barstool]

Jaromir Jagr’s Goal Against Blackhawks in 1992 Cup Final Remembered 21 Years Later (Video)

Jaromir Jagr has scored, if you count the playoffs as well, 759 goals in his NHL career. Of all of those scores, one against the Chicago Blackhawks is among the very best. Jagr is back in the Stanley Cup Final 21 years after he and the Penguins swept the Blackhawks in 1992. This time, however, Jagr will look to hoist the Cup with the Bruins. Despite the two-decade layoff from the...

Video- 16 Minutes With Jaromir Jagr

Today was media day in Chicago and in my mind the hightlight video of the day was the Jagr interview. Watch the entertaining segment below... Continue reading "Video- 16 Minutes With Jaromir Jagr"

Bruins teammates have nasty collision

The biggest hit from Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals was an accident. Milan Lucic skated across the blue line, completely unaware that Jaromir Jagr was about to cut and head his direction. The two Bruins had a huge collision which sent both men sprawling. To make matters worse, Chicago's Brandon Saad was unable to avoid the traffic jam and ran into the back of Lucic. The result...

Toews on Boston's 2011 Cup win: "I was just glad Vancouver didn't win"

Chicago forward Jonathan Toews might still be a little bitter about the 2011 NHL playoffs. The Chicago Blackhawks were eliminated from the playoffs in the first round after seven games against the Vancouver Canucks. Chicago fell in a huge 0-3 hole, but mounted an impressive comeback to force a seventh game. Vancouver won Game 7 in OT, sending them through and sending Chicago home...

Milan Lucic and Jaromir Jagr collide for huge hit in 2nd OT

Boston Bruins forward Milan Lucic checks in at 6’4″ 220 lbs and Jaromir Jagr checks in at 6’4″ 240 lbs.  That is a pair of big men and early in the 2nd overtime of Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals they were both caught looking at something other than the ice in front of them and collided in this major collision.  Lucky for the Bruins, neither player was injured on the play...

Blackhawks' Toews could play Game 6

Chicago Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville says he hopes forward Jonathan Toews will be able to play in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup finals against the Boston Bruins. Toews did not play in the third period of Chicago's 3-1 victory over Boston in Game 5 on Saturday night. The team has not said what the injury is. But Quenneville said after arriving in Boston on Sunday that Toews...

Milan Lucic lands nasty hit…on Jaromir Jagr

Milan Lucic arguably had one of the biggest hits of Game 1 against Chicago but, unfortunately for Lucic and the Bruins, that hit was landed on his own teammate, Jaromir Jagr. The accidental collision happened along the Bruins’ defensive blue line and wound up taking out Chicago’s Brandon Saad, who couldn’t avoid the traffic jam, for good measure. [Puck Drunk Love] The post...
