PLAYERS: Jordan Caron
TEAMS: Boston Bruins
Jordan Caron finally played like the first-round pick he once was. The down side was that Caron's strong play came during one of the roughest patches of the season for the Bruins. Caron has eight points in March, the same month in which the Bruins have lost six of their nine games. If Caron can keep this up and the Bruins can get back into a groove, both the team and the player will be better off. Check out more from Caron on Big Bad Bruins LIVE in the video above.

Report: Shawn Thornton Signs Two-year Extension With Bruins

Shawn Thornton leads the NHL in fighting majors this season with 19, and it looks like he'll be staving off goons for the Bruins for at least another two seasons. Thornton and the Bruins have agreed to a two-year extension worth an average of $1.1 million per season, according to the Boston Globe. The 34-year-old Ontario native has become an integral member of the Bruins team...

Rich Peverley 'Getting Better Every Day' As Bruins Winger Continues to Skate on Own to Rehab Injured Knee"

WILMINGTON, Mass. – There hasn't been a lot of good news for the Bruins of late with the club mired in a season-worst four-game losing streak and its lead in the division trimmed to a single point. But there was an encouraging sign on Friday when the club returned to its familiar surroundings at Ristuccia Arena in Wilmington. Before the rest of the club took the ice for practice...

Boston Bruins feel heat atop Northeast

For more than three months, the Boston Bruins have sat atop the Northeast Division, feeling the occasional hot breeze coming in behind them. These days, however, the temperature is starting to rise. The Bruins were briefly pushed out of the division lead thanks to the Ottawa Senators' overtime win against the Montreal Canadiens on Friday night. They reclaimed it on Saturday...

'Green Machine' Tim Thomas Proves Automatic in Shootout Win as Bruins Snap Losing Streak (Video)

It wasn't pretty, but it was pretty great to finally win again. The Bruins snapped a four-game losing streak on Saturday against the Philadelphia Flyers, ensuring that everybody in Boston can have a happy St. Patrick's Day. NESN Nation's Dan Duquette is pretty sure that Tim Thomas is automatic in shootouts at this point, whether there's any magic at play here on the...

Defending champs fading in second half

The Boston Bruins once looked invincible – and that seems like a long time ago. From the start of November through January 12, the Bruins went 25-4-1 in one of the best 30-game stretches in recent memory. Yet, aside from that great two-month run, last spring’s Cup champs have looked average at best. Now it’s time for the team, losers of a season-high four straight, to look...

Dan Spiegel: Panthers Throttle Bruins To Take Season Series; Getting Healthy

The Panthers came through with a 3-goal second period Thursday night to beat the struggling Boston Bruins 6-2. Florida ended up 2-1-1 against the defending Stanley Cup Champions for the season, and now only 2 points behind the Bruins for 2nd in the Eastern Conference. Once again the Panthers are in line for their fourth straight win since 2008 tomorrow night against Buffalo,...

Ty Anderson: Luck of the Thomas: B's top Flyers in shootout

For the sake of simplicity, let's just say that more has gone wrong for the Boston Bruins over the course of their four-game losing streak than right. They've been pummeled from the onset of games -- on both the ice and scoreboard -- and their efforts to resist what have been beyond humbling beatdowns have been futile at best. They've been skating on dull blades, listless...

Maple Leafs-Bruins Preview

The Boston Bruins are feeling good after putting an end their longest losing streak of the season. A game against the Toronto Maple Leafs could further improve their disposition. The Northeast Division-leading Bruins look to sweep the season series from the Maple Leafs for the first time in 20 years Monday night at TD Garden. A disappointing last several weeks have essentially...

Ty Anderson: Is it possible that Vancouver broke the Bruins?

When the Vancouver Canucks came to Boston for their first match-up against the Boston Bruins since falling to the Black-and-Gold in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final, there was no doubting the notion that the Canucks were a mere hunk of particleboard positioned towards an eight-spoked buzzsaw. Boston entered that matinee affair a staggering 8-1-0 in their previous nine, outscoring...

71. Philadelphia Flyers at Boston Bruins. No Luck Of O'Lucic Here.

Start drinking, you'll need it. Put on your green ******* O'Lucic t-shirt like a super douchebag, pin on your "Kiss Me I'm Irish" pin although your last name is something like Pallazola or Rask, wear some stupid oversized green hat and throw up all over yourself when the Bruins gets properly ****** by Philly. Happy Saint Patrick's Day.

This is the first of multiple entries from an unprecedented turbo-NHL-mini-dream, covering three NHL games in 24 hours in three cities, from Boston, to New York to Philadelphia.
