Having suffered three straight losses at home, the Toronto Maple Leafs look to get back on track at the Air Canada Centre on Tuesday as they host the Phoenix Coyotes.
This is the only meeting between the two clubs this season. Toronto has struggled against Phoenix, losing five-straight dating back to 2003. The most recent loss was a 5-1 defeat in Phoenix last season. The Coyotes have outscored...

According to TSN's Darren Dreger an unnamed team offered the Toronto Maple Leafs a second-round draft pick in a deal for defenseman Cody Franson only to be turned down by GM Brian Burke. The fact that Burke reportedly turned down a second-round pick for a player that has seen the ice four times this year is lunacy.
If the Rangers were the ones that made the offer, given...
The Toronto Maple Leafs will be without Mikhail Grabovski for two weeks, and fellow forward Clarke MacArthur will also miss time because of injuries sustained in a loss to Phoenix. The team said Wednesday that Grabovski has an undisclosed lower body injury. He left Tuesday night's shootout loss in the third period after a collision at center ice.
GM Brian Burke indicated on Torontoâs Sportsnet Radio this morning that goaltender James Reimerâs status remains a mystery and may necessitate the club making a move for a veteran netminder.
Burke indicated âwe donât knowâ when Reimer will be able to return and until the 23 year old is symptom free, he will not participate in any practices or off-ice workouts...
A visit to the Air Canada Centre has been a fruitful one over the past several seasons for the Phoenix Coyotes.
Their string of success in Ontario's capital continued on Tuesday as the Desert Dogs picked up their sixth-straight win in Toronto with a 3-2 shootout victory over the Maple Leafs. The victory also gave Phoenix points in nine of their last ten games played.
It appears the Maple Leafs will be getting centre Tim Connolly back soon. Connolly took part in Monday’s full practice on a line with Colton Orr and Jay Rosehill and while he doesn’t appear set to play Tuesday against Phoenix, he c...
Per various reports from Leafs practice this morning, rookie Ben Scrivens is first off the ice, which means he will get the start tonight versus the Phoenix Coyotes.
It will be Scrivens third start in row.
Forward Tim Connolly is still not ready to get back into the lineup, but LeafsTV's Paul Hendrick(@hennytweets) is reporting that he will likely draw in on Thursday in...

If I had a dollar for every Canadian media report thats surfaced the past three seasons regarding the sale of the Coyotes, I would have bought the team by now.
This is not to disparage my cohorts north of the border not all of them, anyway but when you deal primarily in unnamed sources, rumor and innuendo, what you get is suspect journalism.
The latest report surfaced...

Nearing the end of October I picked Dion Phaneuf of the Toronto Maple Leafs as the top defenceman in the league so far in the season. While Phaneuf is having an all star calibre season so far, it is clear that he is no longer the top defenceman so far this year. Several of the usual suspects are having very strong two-way seasons so far. They include Zdeno Chara of the Boston...
Mike Smith, coming off first shutout of season, gearing up for battles against 4 of top clubs in East.
TORONTO (AP) Patrick O'Sullivan and Radim Vrbata scored shootout goals, and the Phoenix Coyotes overcame Toronto's furious
rally to beat the Maple Leafs 3-2 on Tuesday night.
