LA Kings goaltending prospect Jacob Ingham looks to have had a knee injury treated with surgery.
On Wednesday, the 21-year-old posted a picture of himself in a wheelchair with a bandage on his knee to his Instagram story.
If the surgery was to fix a knee injury, it could be a fairly stressful summer for Ingham as he recovers; the aforementioned Instagram story says, “Road to recovery starts today. Thank you to the surgeon for fixing me up.”
Ingham, drafted in the sixth round of the 2018 NHL draft, played in five games with the Reign this year, posting a 2-2-1 record and a .861 save percentage.
Between the last two seasons, he has played 29 games for the ECHL’s Greenville Swamp Rabbits – 16 of those coming this season – owning a combined 13-13-3 record.
He last played for the Reign on February 14, 2022, against Bakersfield, between the pipes for two periods and allowing five goals on 17 shots.
