Several sources have confirmed to FoxSportsDetroit.com that the Detroit Red Wings and power forward Todd Bertuzzi are on the verge of agreeing to a contract extension.
The deal is believed to be for two years at a little over 2 million per season. Sources indicate that the Wings were seeking a one-year extension, but Bertuzzis asking price was not cap friendly.
