And now a soliloquy from a Penguins fan

Man, Sidney Crosby, injured again. This really underscores the importance of concussion safety. I mean, Crosby is struggling to recover from one of the most brutal, cheapest shots I have ever seen in my life from Dave Steckel. Honestly, he should have been arrested for that hit, let alone a penalty. David Kreijci isn't nearly as dirty a player because he doesn't play for...

Tim Panaccio: Giroux Out Indefinitely With Concussion

Well it went from feeling better and getting better and making progress to whiplash to ... Claude Giroux will be out indefinitely with a concussion, GM Paul Holmgren announced this morning. The players did not know this until the media informed them after the morning skate. “You look at the best teams over the years, most of them have had to deal with injuries and...

Tim Panaccio: Giroux Remains Behind

Flyers entourage is here in Chicago to celebrate Ed Snider going into the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame tonight. Only update we have is that Claude Giroux continues to feel better. I am led to believe that the hit (knee to the head) left him sore but not necessarily with headaches, per se. Giroux did not go to Washington and I would surprised if he flies to Montreal this week. ...

Flyers' Depth Will Be Put to the Test After Claude Giroux, Chris Pronger Suffer Concussions

Concussions have hit the Philadelphia Flyers, and they have hit them hard. We already know that Chris Pronger is done for the season, and it's unclear how long Philly will be without arguably its best player, Claude Giroux, who is also sidelined with a concussion. The loss of Pronger, the team's captain, stings, but the indefinite loss of Giroux may be the one that really...

Crosby’s return on November 21st was emphatic; the 24-year-old scored two goals and added two assists, leading the Penguins to a 5-0 victory over the New York Islanders. But now, less than...
