NJ- Adam Larsson (back, questionable), Ryan Carter (hand, questionable), Travis Zajac (Achilles, out), Henrik Tallinder (leg, out)

Three things to watch:
1. Scorching-hot Devils
The NHL’s best team since the All-Star break has won five in a row in impressive fashion. Peter DeBoer’s Devils have knocked off the Rangers (twice), Flyers and Penguins during the win streak, catapulting to fifth in the Eastern Conference in the process. Martin Brodeur is coming off his best effort of the year, a 30-save shutout in MSG on Tuesday. This Devils team is tough to beat right now.
2. Ilya Kovalchuk’s hot streak
To go along with the team’s great play of late, Ilya Kovalchuk has been on fire. In the five-game win streak, Kovalchuk has 10 points. The $100 million man has been consistent since the beginning of December, but has really elevated his play in the last week or so.
3. Road improvement needed for Blues
On the other side of the coin, St. Louis is vying for the top spot in the Central Division, but must improve their record away from Scottrade Center. This season they are 22-3-4 at home, 9-11-3 on the road. Will Tuesday’s solid 3-1 win in Ottawa turn things around on the road?

Final thought: New Jersey is on an absolute roll right now, while St. Louis has been difficult to beat since Ken Hitchcock took over. This is a tough game to call; go with the Devils. Prediction: Devils 3, Blues 1

The rest of today’s predictions:
Canadiens over Islanders
Rangers over Lightning
Flyers over Maple Leafs
Capitals over Jets
Stars over Blue Jackets
Predators over Senators
Kings over Panthers
Canucks over Wild
Coyotes over Flames
