Not the case for the Nashville Predators tonight against the Chicago Blackhawks. Nashville scored 2 in the first, 1 in the second, and 3 in the third to route the Hawks 6-1 in front of a sold-out United Center. The Predators are now 4-0-1 versus Chicago this season. After playing Winnipeg the night before and skating away with a 3-1 win, the Predators picked right up where they left off. Once Nashville weathered an early storm from the Blackhawks, it didn’t take but 6 minutes to take the lead in the game. Matt Halischuk grabbed a feed from Brandon Yip and put it past Corey Crawford for a 1-0 lead at 6:16 of the first. Halischuk’s line, including Yip and Gaustad, were able to keep the play in the zone after multiple failed clearing attempts by the Blackhawks. The Predators weren’t done in the first period, however. Andrei Kostitsyn would laser a shot pas...
