As I noted yesterday there are some new NHL All Star voting rules this year that may hurt our chances of writing Dan Girardi in.

Well guess what? Rangers fans never back down to a challenge.

So as a way to get around the 30 vote limit for online ballots, I'm asking everyone to make sure they use all their e-mail accounts to register new NHL.com profiles allowing you to vote 30 times per profile. And if you don't have additional e-mail accounts, start creating new ones for yourself so you can create those extra profiles and get those much needed supplementary votes.

I had forgotten that I created e-mail accounts through Yahoo! for each TheNYRBlog fantasy hockey division last year and this year. That's 22 e-mail accounts I can use to register 22 different times on the NHL.com balloting page allowing me to vote for Girardi 660 times. When I factor in my four other personal e-mail accounts and my work e-mail, I'll be able to vote for Girardi over 800 times.

The 30 vote limit on text messaging is a little harder to get around so most likely you'll just have to make sure you text "Girardi" to 81812 from everyone's cell phone you know. Please make sure you check their text and data plans first so they don't incur any charges.

Another thing I ask is to get your votes in now. I cannot over-emphasize the impact of momentum. If Girardi puts up a huge number when the first results are released on Monday, lots of press will jump all over it giving the write-in campaign huge exposure as well as a big boost going forward. See the Avery campaign last year.

Speaking of media exposure, the campaign received huge coverage in Puck Daddy and CBS Sports yesterday.

Don't forget to tweet, Facebook, e-mail or call every friend, co-worker and family member to remind them to vote.

Everyone can vote for Girardi through the online ballot or texting Girardi to the shortcode 81812 (Message and data rates may apply).

Also remember to vote for the Rangers already on the ballot.
