The Pittsburgh Penguins obtained veteran goaltender Tomas Vokoun in a trade with the Washington Capitals on Monday and signed him to a two-year, $4 million contract. The Penguins gave up a seventh-round pick in the 2012 NHL draft for the 35-year-old Vokoun, general manager Ray Shero said. Vokoun just completed his 13th season in the league. Vokoun posted a 25-17-2 record with a 2.51 goals-against average, .917 save percentage and four shutouts in his one season with the Capitals. The season was cut short when he suffered a groin injury in late March and sat out the playoffs.
