Pittsburgh Penguins (34-10-0) @ Ottawa Senators (23-15-6) ROOT, SNET-E, TVA, 7:30 pm/et Hell's Kitchen - Kanata, ON Hopefully tonight's contest resembles a hockey game and not the bizarre sideshow that the Ottawa Senators and many of their fans want it to be. We doubt it though. We put the over/under on staged fights at three. Place your bets. Also, enter the Twitter contest. Tonight we are all Matt Cooke. Season Series: 2-0-0 Last meeting that counted: February 13, 2013. Penguins won 4-2. What we said in our recap: This game was neatly divided into two parts: before the Karlsson injury and after the Karlsson injury. Before the injury, it was a well-played game. Both teams had good chances; there was some solid goaltending. It had a great flow to it. We wish we could've seen a fully stocked Sens team with Spezza and Michalek. Then toward the end of the second period, Matt Cooke and Erik Karlsson got tangled up in the corner, and it was all downhill for the Senators. They chose to get all jammed up at Matt Cooke instead of play the third period.The Pens capitlized on the Senators' lack of focus and cleaned up in the third. It sucks that Erik Karlsson got hurt, but, holy ****. The Senators acted like Cooke took his skate off, tied Karlsson up, and put him on Dexter's table. Know Your Enemy: The 6th Sens What they're saying: Panic has not set in. This Senators team is not burdened by the lofty expectations created by being considered a Stanley Cup favorite. The consensus feeling is that this team’s best years are ahead of it and its window is nowhere near being closed. But, now that Erik Karlsson has been cleared for contact, rejoining his teammates at practice today, all fans care about now is when he will be cleared for launch. With the team’s sustained success, why couldn’t this team go on a bit of a run should he return? And with the playoffs scheduled to start on April 30th, it certainly seems like he’s going to play. Pretty much guessing at the Pens lines. Do It. Go Pens.
