Big stuff here as we get clarification on rumors from Roswell and more...

  1. E J Hradek's Tuesday 10 features the rumor that Sidney Crosby may return for a Friday night game against the Stars which would be on 11/11/11. Will the stars line up for him?
  2. Our pick for the game of the night tonight finds the surprising Dallas Stars in Washington playing the Capitals. Outside of the local markets, the game is only available on NHL Center Ice (6 p.m. CST).
  3. There's a big night planned in Buffalo tonight with Rick Jeanneret and Dalle Hawerchuck going into the Sabers Hall of Fame in pre-game ceremonies. Jeanneret has one of the most distinctive calls in hockey and has agreed to go into the Hall while still active as an announcer.
  4. The countdown is on for the next coach firing (after Scott Arneil, obviously). Puck Daddy considers six other candidates from teams with slower than expected starts.
  5. Justin Bourne looks at some power play statistics for the young season and gets in some good bashing on the Columbus Blue Jackets in the process.
  6. Ryan Porth ponders whether the Boston Bruins have shaken off their hangover as the calender turned to November.
  7. Down Goes Brown looks at the bright side in hockey with several success stories from the opening month of the season.

Odds and Ends... I have no idea why it needed to be clarified, but the White House made an official announcement that “The U.S. government has no evidence that any life exists outside our planet, or that an extraterrestrial presence has contacted or engaged any member of the human race. In addition, there is no credible information to suggest that any evidence is being hidden from the public's eye.”
